仇敌说：‘我要追赶，我要追上，我要分掳物，我要在他们身上称我的心愿。我要拔出刀来，亲手杀灭他们。’

彼敵有言、必追而及、分其貨財、以快我心、出我鋒刃、手殲厥眾。

The enemy boasted,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.’

“ Your enemies bragged,‘ We will chase Israel and will catch them. We’ll divide up what we take from them. We’ll eat them alive. We’ll pull our swords out. Our powerful hands will destroy them.’

是故我使彼與位大者同得其分、與世之強者共分貲財、緣彼甘心捐命、人列之於罪人中、實則負他人之罪、更為惡人祈禱、

豈未獲財均分所掠乎、人各必得一二女子、西西拉必得彩衣、必得彩服、表裏文繡、可戴頸項、又作可飾被擄者之頸

若有更勇者至而勝之、則奪其所恃之器械、而分其貲、

或告伊及王曰、以色列民逃遁、法老與其群臣、變其心欲害斯民曰、我儕釋以色列人、致其不復役事於我、我何為行此、

便雅憫如狼攫物、朝吞所獲、夕分所奪、○

敵至若狂風、欲使我四散、暗噬貧民、乃其所喜、惟主以戈矛、刺其將帥之首、或作主以戈矛刺敵將帥之首彼至如狂風欲使我四散彼之所喜乃暗中殘害貧民

列國之諸神中、有誰救其國脫於我手、獨主能救耶路撒冷脫於我手乎、

彼曰、我之諸將帥、不皆為王乎、我滅迦勒挪非若迦珥基密乎、哈末非若亞珥拔乎、撒瑪利亞非若大瑪色乎、崇事虛神之各國、其偶像較耶路撒冷與撒瑪利亞之偶像尤多、悉為我所滅、所滅或作所得我如何待撒瑪利亞與其偶像、豈不能循此以待耶路撒冷與其偶像乎、主曰、迨我在郇山、在耶路撒冷畢我之事、則必懲罰亞述王心之驕傲、及其目之仰視、彼曰、我移列國之界、擄掠其財、誠如有能者、誠如有能者或作我英勇超群使坐國位者卑降、我行此事、惟倚己臂之力、恃己之智慧、因我明哲、

耶洗別遣人見以利亞告之曰、如明日此時、我不使爾生命如彼之生命然、則願諸神降重災於我、
