法老之車與軍、俱投於海、特簡之將帥、溺於紅海、

摩西謂民曰、毋懼、可立而待、以觀主向爾今日所施之救、爾今日見伊及人、後必永不復見之、主將代爾戰、爾惟安靜、主諭摩西曰、爾何籲我、當告以色列人前往、爾舉手中之杖、以伸於海、分裂海水、致以色列人行於海中、如行陸地、我使伊及人剛愎其心、追以色列人、我則因法老與其軍旅車馬而獲大榮、我既因法老與其車馬獲大榮、伊及人必知我乃主、天主之使者、昔行於以色列軍前、今遷而行其後、雲柱亦由其前而遷於其後、適當伊及與以色列兩軍之間、在彼則為雲為暗、在此則為光於夜、致彼此終夜不得相近、於是摩西伸手於海上、主使東風大吹、飄揚終夜、使海水退、海中如陸地而水分析、以色列人行於海中、如行陸地、水壁立其左右、伊及人法老一切車馬軍騎、皆追之入海、天將旦時、主自雲柱火柱中、俯視伊及軍、亂其隊伍、脫其車輪、使之難行、伊及人曰、耶和華代以色列人攻我儕、不如避之而遁、主諭摩西曰、爾伸手於海上、使海水復合、淹沒伊及人與其車馬軍騎、摩西即伸手於海上、既旦、海水復翻騰、或作水合如故伊及人迎水奔馳、主乃投伊及人於海中、海水回流、淹沒追以色列人入海之法老車馬全軍、靡有孑遺、

法老遂備戰車、率其民偕往、以精捷之車六百乘、與伊及人所有之車、皆有軍長統率、或作車皆有戰士
