And the people complained against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

So the people grumbled against Moses, saying,“ What are we to drink?”

The people told Moses they weren’t happy with him. They said,“ What are we supposed to drink?”

And the people grumbled against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

Then the people complained and turned against Moses.“ What are we going to drink?” they demanded.

The people grumbled to Moses,“ What are we going to drink?”

So the people grumbled at Moses, saying,“ What are we to drink?”

And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

The people grumbled to Moses,“ What are we going to drink?”

And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

So the people murmured against Moses, saying,“ What can we drink?”

The people murmured against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.

Then they said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?

“ Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Also Moses said,“ This shall be seen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the Lord hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.”Then Moses spoke to Aaron,“ Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel,‘ Come near before the Lord, for He has heard your complaints.’”

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.”

Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp.Then the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched.So he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of the Lord had burned among them.Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said:“ Who will give us meat to eat?We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic;but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

On the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, saying,“ You have killed the people of the Lord.”

nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

Yes, they spoke against God: They said,“ Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?Behold, He struck the rock, So that the waters gushed out, And the streams overflowed. Can He give bread also? Can He provide meat for His people?”

Do all things without complaining and disputing,

And the people spoke against God and against Moses:“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.”

Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?”

Now there was no water for the congregation; so they gathered together against Moses and Aaron.And the people contended with Moses and spoke, saying:“ If only we had died when our brethren died before the Lord!Why have you brought up the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness, that we and our animals should die here?And why have you made us come up out of Egypt, to bring us to this evil place? It is not a place of grain or figs or vines or pomegranates; nor is there any water to drink.”

So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them,“ If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”So they said to one another,“ Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.

And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said,“ Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying,“ What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!”
