這是耶穌第一次行神蹟，是在加利利的迦拿行的，彰顯了祂的榮耀，門徒都信了祂。

許多來看瑪麗亞的猶太人看見耶穌所行的事，就信了祂，

耶穌在耶路撒冷過逾越節期間，許多人看見祂行的神蹟，就信了祂。耶穌卻不信任他們，因為祂洞悉萬人。不用別人告訴祂，祂也深知人的內心。

種子落在蓋著淺土的石頭地上是指人聽了道，欣然接受了，但是沒有根基，只是暫時相信，一遇到試煉就放棄了；

許多人因為這番話而信了耶穌。耶穌對信祂的猶太人說：「你們若持守我的道，就真是我的門徒了。你們必認識真理，真理必叫你們得到自由。」

耶和華對摩西說：「我會在密雲中臨到你那裡，使百姓也可以親耳聽見我與你說話的聲音，這樣他們就會永遠信賴你。」摩西把以色列人的話回報耶和華。

我因敬畏你而戰抖，我懼怕你的法令。

第二天清晨，眾人起來去提哥亞的曠野。他們出發的時候，約沙法站著說：「猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民啊，請聽我說！要信靠你們的上帝耶和華，你們就必堅立；要相信祂的先知，你們就必得勝。」

那時他們才相信祂的話，歌唱讚美祂。然而，他們很快忘了祂的作為，不願等候祂的引導。

百姓相信了。以色列人聽見耶和華眷顧他們、看到了他們的苦難，都俯伏敬拜祂。

於是，撒母耳向耶和華呼求，耶和華便在當天打雷降雨，民眾非常害怕耶和華和撒母耳。

西門本人也信了基督，接受了洗禮，並常常追隨腓利左右。腓利所行的神蹟奇事令他非常驚奇。
