摩西對百姓說：「你們不用害怕，站穩了，看耶和華用什麼方法解救你們。你們再也看不到你們今天看到的埃及人了。

義人必因惡人遭報而歡欣，並用惡人的血洗腳。

我的上帝愛我，祂會幫助我，讓我欣然看見仇敵遭報。

耶和華啊，你的仇敵終必滅亡，凡作惡的都要被驅散。你使我強壯如野牛，你用新油澆灌我。我親眼看見我的敵人被擊潰，親耳聽見那些攻擊我的惡人被打敗。

以下的事情，你們雖然都知道，但我還要再提醒你們：從前上帝把祂的子民從埃及救出來，後來把其中不信的人滅絕了。

耶和華在那天使以色列人大獲全勝，戰事一直蔓延到伯·亞文。

祂苦他們所苦，親自拯救他們。祂本著慈愛和憐憫救贖了他們，自古以來一直扶持、照顧他們。

你必親眼目睹惡人受懲罰。

這樣，耶和華從亞述王西拿基立及一切仇敵手中拯救了希西迦和耶路撒冷的居民，使他們四境平安。
