Pharaoh will think,‘ The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’

法老必議以色列人云、彼眾失路、困於曠野、

Pharaoh will think,‘ The Israelites are wandering around the land. They don’t know which way to go. The desert is all around them.’

For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel,‘ They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’

Then Pharaoh will think,‘ The Israelites are confused. They are trapped in the wilderness!’

Pharaoh will say of the Israelites: They are wandering around the land in confusion; the wilderness has boxed them in.

For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel,‘ They are wandering aimlessly in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel,‘ They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’

And Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

Pharaoh will say of the Israelites: They are wandering around the land in confusion; the wilderness has boxed them in.

Pharaoh will think regarding the Israelites,‘ They are wandering around confused in the land– the desert has closed in on them.’

Find out about all the hiding places he uses and come back to me with definite information. Then I will go with you; if he is in the area, I will track him down among all the clans of Judah.”

Let’s denounce him!” All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying,“ Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him.”But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.

The people of Gaza were told,“ Samson is here!” So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They made no move during the night, saying,“ At dawn we’ll kill him.”

And when many disasters and calamities come on them, this song will testify against them, because it will not be forgotten by their descendants. I know what they are disposed to do, even before I bring them into the land I promised them on oath.”

They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.

Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah, and he said,“ God has delivered him into my hands, for David has imprisoned himself by entering a town with gates and bars.”

But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in Egypt,he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites.

They say,“ God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”
