Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem every firstborn among your sons.

By sacrificing a lamb, buy back every male donkey born first to its mother. But if you don’t buy the donkey back, break its neck. Buy back every oldest son.

這些人從未沾染過婦女，都是童身。無論羔羊往哪裡去，他們都緊隨其後。他們是從世人中被贖出來的，作為初熟的果實獻給上帝和羔羊。

以色列人所有長子的人數比利未人總數多二百七十三人，這些多出來的人需要被贖回，每人折合五十五克銀子，要以聖所的秤為準，即一舍客勒是二十季拉。要把贖銀交給亞倫父子們。」摩西就收取了那二百七十三人的贖銀，以聖所的秤計算，共十五公斤銀子，照耶和華的吩咐，將贖銀交給亞倫父子們。

於是，摩西召集以色列的眾長老，對他們說：「你們家家戶戶都要挑選羊羔，把這逾越節的羊羔宰了。

你要向以色列全體會眾宣佈，本月的第十日，每家都要預備一隻羊羔，一家一隻。
