如果把山羊血、公牛血和母牛犢的灰灑在污穢的人身上，就可以使他們聖潔，身體得到潔淨，更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？

更何況人踐踏上帝的兒子，輕看那使人聖潔的立約之血，又藐視賜人恩典的聖靈？這等人該受多麼重的刑罰啊！

祂憑自己的一次犧牲，使那些得以聖潔的人永遠純全。
