“‘正月十四日，是耶和华的逾越节。

二月十四日，他们宰了逾越节的羊羔。祭司和利未人都觉得惭愧，就自洁，把燔祭带到耶和华的殿里。他们遵照神人摩西的律法，按着定例，站在自己的岗位上。祭司从利未人手里把血接过来，洒在祭坛上。因为会众中有很多人还没有自洁，所以利未人必须为所有不洁的人宰杀逾越节的羊羔，使他们在耶和华面前成为圣洁。原来有一大群人，很多是从以法莲、玛拿西、以萨迦和西布伦来的，还没有自洁，就吃逾越节的羊羔，不遵照所记的定例；因此，希西家为他们祷告说：“凡是立定心意，专一寻求神耶和华他们列祖的神的，虽然没有照着圣所洁净的礼自洁，愿良善的耶和华也饶恕他们。”

他们要在二月十四日，黄昏的时候，守逾越节，同时要吃无酵饼和苦菜；

希律和本丢．彼拉多，外族人和以色列民，真的在这城里聚集，反对你所膏立的圣仆耶稣，

“以色列人的怨言，我已经听见了。你告诉他们说：‘黄昏的时候你们必吃肉，早晨的时候必有食物吃饱；这样，你们就知道我耶和华是你们的神了。’”

“正月十四日，你们要守逾越节，节期共七天，期间你们要吃无酵饼。

以色列人出埃及地以后，第二年正月，耶和华在西奈旷野吩咐摩西说：“以色列人要在指定的时间守逾越节，就是本月十四日，黄昏的时候，你们要在指定的时间守这节，要照着这节的一切律例和一切典章而行。”

众人都起来，把耶稣押到彼拉多那里，

群众上去，要求彼拉多援例给他们办理。

祭司长和长老怂恿群众，叫他们去要求释放巴拉巴，除掉耶稣。

第一日要有圣会，什么劳碌的工都不可作，

从正月十四日晚上起，直到本月二十一日晚上止，你们要吃无酵饼。

众人齐声喊叫：“除掉这个人，给我们释放巴拉巴！”

群众回答：“流他的血的责任，归在我们和我们子孙的身上吧。”

“你要守亚笔月，向耶和华你的神守逾越节，因为耶和华你的神在亚笔月的一个晚上，把你从埃及地领出来。你要在耶和华选择立为他名的居所的地方，把羊和牛作逾越节的祭牲献给耶和华你的神。你吃这祭的时候，不可和有酵的饼一同吃；七日之内，你要吃无酵饼，就是困苦饼，因为你是急急忙忙从埃及地出来的，好使你一生的年日都可以记念你从埃及地出来的日子。七天之内，在你的全境不可见有酵。第一天晚上你献的祭肉，一点也不可剩下，留到早晨。你不能在耶和华你的神赐给你的任何一座城里，宰杀逾越节的祭牲；只能在耶和华你的神选择作他名的居所的地方，晚上日落的时候，就是你出埃及的时刻，宰杀逾越节的祭牲；

他照着神的定旨和预知被交了出去，你们就藉不法之徒的手，把他钉死了。

一到清晨，祭司长和长老、经学家以及公议会全体一致议决，把耶稣绑起来，押去交给彼拉多。

他们钉他十字架的时候，是在上午九点钟。

大约三点钟，耶稣大声呼叫：“以利，以利，拉马撒巴各大尼？”意思是“我的神，我的神，你为什么离弃我？”有几个站在那里的人，听见了就说：“这个人在呼叫以利亚呢。”有一个人马上跑去拿海绵蘸满了酸酒，用芦苇递给他喝。但其他的人说：“等一等，我们看看以利亚来不来救他。”耶稣再大声呼叫，气就断了。

从正午到下午三点钟，遍地都黑暗了。下午三点的时候，耶稣大声呼号：“以罗伊，以罗伊，拉马撒巴各大尼？”这句话译出来就是：“我的神，我的神，你为什么离弃我？”

祭司长却煽动群众，宁可要总督释放巴拉巴给他们。

我们众人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和华却把我们众人的罪孽，都归在他身上。

你们把那圣者义者拒绝了，反而要求给你们释放一个杀人犯。
