如果把山羊血、公牛血和母牛犢的灰灑在污穢的人身上，就可以使他們聖潔，身體得到潔淨，更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？

要知道，你們從傳統的、沒有意義的生活中被救贖出來，不是靠金銀等會朽壞的東西，而是靠無瑕無疵的代罪羔羊——基督的寶血。

許願時說要獻上羊群中的公羊，後來卻拿傷殘的來獻給主，這種人該受咒詛！因為我是大君王，就是外族人也敬畏我的名。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」

我們所需要的，正是這樣一位聖潔無瑕、良善純全、遠離罪惡、超越諸天的大祭司。

在獻穀物那天，你們要獻給耶和華一隻毫無殘疾、一歲的公羊羔作燔祭，

「你把以下條例告訴亞倫父子們及所有以色列人。「任何以色列人或寄居在以色列的外族人若向耶和華獻燔祭，無論是為了還願還是出於自願，都必須獻毫無殘疾的公牛、公綿羊或公山羊才能蒙悅納。不可獻有殘疾的，因為不蒙悅納。如果有人為了還願或自願獻牛羊作平安祭，必須獻毫無殘疾的牛羊才能蒙悅納。不可獻給耶和華瞎眼的、骨折的、殘廢的、長疥癬的牲畜，也不可把這些牲畜獻給耶和華作火祭。至於畸形或發育不全的公牛或綿羊羔，可以用作自願獻的祭，但不可用作還願祭。不可獻給耶和華睪丸受損、被壓碎、破裂或被閹割的牲畜。在你們境內不可做這樣的事，

「如果用綿羊或山羊作燔祭，必須用毫無殘疾的公羊。

「不可把有缺陷或殘疾的牛羊獻給你們的上帝耶和華，因為這是祂所憎惡的。

如果用牛作燔祭，必須用毫無殘疾的公牛，在會幕門口獻上，便可蒙耶和華悅納。

你們把污穢的食物獻在我的祭壇上，還說，『我們在何事上玷污了你呢？』你們說耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。你們拿瞎眼、瘸腿和有病的牲畜來獻祭，難道這不是罪過嗎？你試試把這樣的東西送給你的省長，看他會不會悅納你、恩待你。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
