No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.

但那天，我子民居住的歌珊却丝毫不会受搅扰，这样你就知道我耶和华主宰天下。

云柱停在埃及军队和以色列人的中间，埃及军队这边一片黑暗，以色列人那边却有光，双方整夜都无法接近对方。

起来，发光吧！因为你的光已经来到，耶和华的荣耀已经照在你身上。看啊，黑暗遮盖大地，幽暗笼罩万民，但耶和华必照耀你，祂的荣耀必照在你身上。万国要来就你的光，君王要来就你的曙光。

所以主耶和华说：“看啊，我的仆人必有吃有喝，你们却要饥渴交加；我的仆人必欢喜，你们却要受羞辱；我的仆人必欢喜快乐，扬声歌唱，你们却要伤心欲绝，嚎啕大哭。

只有以色列人所住的歌珊没有冰雹。

我要带领瞎子走他们不认识的路，引导他们走陌生的道。我要把他们面前的黑暗变为光明，坎坷之地变得平坦。我必行这些事，我必不离弃他们。

那时，你们将再度看出义人与恶人之间的区别，事奉上帝者和不事奉上帝者之间的不同。

但你们是蒙拣选的族群，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国度，是上帝的子民，因此你们可以宣扬上帝的美德。祂曾呼召你们离开黑暗，进入祂奇妙的光明。

祂把我们从黑暗的权势下拯救出来，带进祂爱子的国度里。

你们的祖先大声呼求我，我就降下黑暗，把你们和埃及人分开，又用海水淹没埃及人。你们亲眼见过我在埃及的作为。后来，你们在旷野度过了一段漫长的岁月。
