So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;

他一吩咐，狂风就刮起，海中的波浪也高扬。他们上到天上，下到深渊，他们的心因危难而惊慌。他们摇摇晃晃，东倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他们的一切智慧都没有用了。于是他们在急难中呼求耶和华，他就拯救他们脱离困苦。

他从天空刮起东风，施能力领出南风。

众人都惊奇，说：“这是什么人，连风和海也听从他？”

日出的时候，神又安排炎热的东风。烈日晒在约拿的头上，以致发昏，他就为自己求死，说：“我死了比活着还好。”

他一发命令，蝗虫就来，蚱蜢也来，多得无法数算，

但是耶和华在海上忽然刮起大风，于是海中狂风大作，船几乎要破裂了。

火和冰雹，雪和云雾，执行他命令的狂风，

摩西向海伸手，耶和华就用极强的东风，一夜之间使海水退去；他使海变成干地，海水也分开了。

接着，又长出七个麦穗，又干瘦又被东风吹焦了。
