So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;

祂一声令下，狂风大作，巨浪滔天。他们的船只忽而被抛向半空，忽而落入深渊，他们吓得面无人色，东倒西歪，如同醉汉，束手无策。于是，他们在患难中呼求耶和华，耶和华便拯救他们脱离困境。

祂使空中刮起东风，用大能引来南风，

门徒很惊奇，说：“祂究竟是什么人？连风浪都听祂的！”

太阳出来的时候，上帝刮起燥热的东风，烈日把约拿晒得发昏，他就再次求死说：“我死了比活着还好！”

祂一发声，就飞来无数蝗虫和蚂蚱，

然而，耶和华使海面起了狂风，滔天巨浪几乎把船打成碎片。

火焰、冰雹、雪花、云霞和听祂吩咐的狂风啊，

摩西向海伸出手，耶和华便整夜用强劲的东风吹退海水，将海底变成干地。海水分开后，

后来这株麦子上面又长了七个干瘪的穗子，它们被东风吹干了。
