我的舌頭也要終日講述你的公義，因為那些謀求害我的人已經蒙羞受辱了。

願那些控告我的，都羞愧滅亡；願那些謀求害我的，都蒙羞受辱。

列國之民啊！你們儘管作惡，但你們終必毀滅！所有在遠處的人民啊，要留心聽！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！你們儘管束腰吧，你們終必毀滅！

他們出發了，神使周圍的城市都非常懼怕，他們就不追趕雅各的兒子。

這十個人就是哈米大他的孫子、哈曼的兒子，猶大人的敵人；至於財物，猶大人卻沒有下手掠奪。

對他們二人說：“我知道耶和華已經把這地賜給你們了，你們使我們十分害怕，這地所有的居民都在你們面前膽戰心驚。

因為這是出於耶和華的旨意，他使他們心裡剛硬，要與以色列人交戰，好把他們完全毀滅，使他們不蒙憐憫，卻要被消滅，正如耶和華吩咐摩西的。

我必在你面前展露我的威嚴；凡你所到的地方，我必使那裡的人民慌亂，又使你所有的仇敵都轉背而逃。

亞達月十四日，在書珊的猶大人又聚集起來，在書珊殺了三百人，卻沒有下手掠奪他們的財物。在王各省其餘的猶大人，也都聚集起來，保護自己的性命，向他們的仇敵報復，殺了恨他們的人共七萬五千；至於財物，他們卻沒有下手掠奪。這是在亞達月十三日的事，十四日他們得享安寧，以這日為設宴歡樂的日子。但在書珊的猶大人在十三、十四日聚集起來殺敵，他們就在十五日休息，以這日為設宴歡樂的日子。

但是希實本王西宏不肯讓我們從他那裡經過，因為耶和華我們的神使他的心意頑固，使他的心剛硬，為要把他交在你的手裡，像今日一樣。
