The king got up in a rage, left his wine and went out into the palace garden. But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate, stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.

王后瓦实提却不肯遵照王藉着太监所传的命令，所以王非常生气，怒火中烧。

王的忿怒，好像狮子的吼叫，他的恩宠，如同草上的朝露。

约拿单说：“绝对没有这事，如果我知道我父亲决意要害你，我会不告诉你吗？”

当时尼布甲尼撒向沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌大发烈怒，连脸色也变了，吩咐人把窑烧热，比平常猛烈七倍。

看哪！从撒但的一党，就是自称是犹太人，其实不是犹太人，而是说谎的人中，我要使他们一些人来在你脚前下拜，并且知道我已经爱了你。

那些素来苦待你的人，他们的子孙都必屈身来到你那里；所有藐视你的，都要在你的脚下跪拜；他们要称你为耶和华的城、以色列圣者的锡安。

现在，你要想一想，看看你该怎么办，因为灾祸必定临到我们的主人和他的全家。他是一个性情凶恶的人，没有人敢对他说话。”

坏人必俯伏在好人面前，恶人必俯伏在义人门口。

恶人看见就恼怒，他必咬牙切齿，身心耗损；恶人的心愿必幻灭。

如果你父亲这样说：‘好！’那么仆人就平安无事了；如果他大大发怒，你就知道，他决意要害我了。

这些日子过了，王又为所有在书珊城的人民，无论尊卑大小，在御园的院子里摆设筵席七天。
