他那有權柄的作為和他的才能、以及末底改的尊大地位，就是王怎樣尊他為大的事：其詳確的敘述、不是都寫在《瑪代波斯諸王記》上麼？

困苦貧窮人尋求着水，也沒有水；他們的舌頭因口渴而乾燥；我永恆主必應他們，我以色列的上帝必不離棄他們。

那些敬畏永恆主的就是這樣彼此談論的；永恆主也留心聽着；在他面前且有備忘冊記錄着那些敬畏永恆主、想念他名的人的事呢。

亞伯拉罕給那地方起名叫『永恆主以勒』；今日人還說：『在永恆主山上、必有所顧到的。』

極深哪！上帝智慧與知識之豐富啊！他的判斷、多麼不能探索啊！他的道路、多麼追蹤不盡啊！

我若在王面前蒙恩寵，王若喜歡賜給我所求的，實行我所要的，就請王和哈曼明天來赴我為王和哈曼所要豫備的筵席；明天我就要照王所說的話來行。』
