He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

如果管轄者的怒氣向你上騰，你不要離開你的本位，因為平靜能止住極大的罪過。

以斯帖照著末迪凱所吩咐她的，沒有把自己的宗族和她的民族告訴人；以斯帖遵行末迪凱的話，就像被末迪凱撫養的時候那樣。

這文書的副本以法令的形式在各個省頒布，通告各民族，讓他們為這一天做好準備。信使們被王令催促就出發，而這法令也在蘇薩城堡頒布了。那時王與哈曼坐著喝酒，蘇薩城卻陷入混亂。

當時，希律一直惱恨提爾和西頓的人。所以他們聯合起來到王那裡去，先說服了王的內臣布拉斯托，然後向王求和，因為他們地區的人是從王的領地得糧食的。

我在那賜生命給萬物的神面前，並在那曾經向本丟彼拉多見證了美好告白的基督耶穌面前吩咐你：

王后以斯帖回應說：「王啊，如果我在你眼前蒙恩，如果王認為好，就請王把我的性命賜予我，作為回應我的請求；也請王把我的民族賜予我，作為回應我所求的；因為我和我的民族已經被賣了，要被除滅、擊殺、消滅。假如我們只是被賣為奴僕和婢女，我會保持沉默，因為那樣的患難不值得打擾王。」

我怎麼能看著我的民族遭受這災禍呢？怎麼能看著我的宗族滅亡呢？」

王的心在耶和華的手中，就像河渠的水：耶和華可以任意使它流轉。

王的怒火是死亡的使者，而智慧人能平息怒氣。君王的容光，帶來生命；他的恩典，如帶來春雨的雲。

對那些今世富有的人，你當吩咐他們不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄託在靠不住的財富上，而要寄託在神身上，神把萬物豐豐富富地賜給我們享受。
