做妻子的要順服自己的丈夫，如同順服主；因為丈夫是妻子的頭，正如基督是教會的頭。他就是那「身體」的拯救者。但教會怎樣順服基督，妻子也要怎樣凡事順服丈夫。

我不准婦女教訓人，也不許她以權威壓男人，我乃是要她安於恬靜。

好修練年輕婦人愛丈夫、愛兒女、克己、貞潔、能理家、好慈善、順服自己的丈夫，免得上帝之道受謗讟。

現在我下諭旨：任何族民、任何邦國之民、任何方言的人：凡說了怠慢的話冒瀆沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌之上帝的，就必須被凌遲；他的房屋必須被拆毁；因為沒有別的神能這樣施救援的。
