I am not commanding you to do this. But I am testing how genuine your love is by comparing it with the eagerness of the other churches.

After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” Peter replied,“ you know I love you.”“ Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.Jesus repeated the question:“ Simon son of John, do you love me?”“ Yes, Lord,” Peter said,“ you know I love you.”“ Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.A third time he asked him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.

May the Lord be with your spirit. And may his grace be with all of you.

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. Our Lord, come!May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
