I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

我为这福音的奥秘作了带锁链的使者，并使我照着当尽的本分放胆讲论。

（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

為此，我成了帶鎖鏈的特使。請為我祈求，使我能照著應該說的，放膽傳道。

緣此、我為縲絏中之使者、俾得侃侃而言、如所當言、○

是以我為基督使、雖繫鐵索、得侃侃言、如所當言、

我為此福音為使者、而陷於縲絏之中、當求主使我得毅然而傳、如所當言、

蓋我已為福音之故而成為被鍊加鎖之星使。果能不為威武所屈、侃侃而談、庶幾不辱使命、是所至願也。

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Because of the good news, I am being held by chains as the Lord’s messenger. So pray that I will be bold as I preach the good news. That’s what I should do.

for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough to speak about it as I should.

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”

I asked you to come here today so we could get acquainted and so I could explain to you that I am bound with this chain because I believe that the hope of Israel— the Messiah— has already come.”

Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.

So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News.

I appeal to you to show kindness to my child, Onesimus. I became his father in the faith while here in prison.

When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles...

May the Lord show special kindness to Onesiphorus and all his family because he often visited and encouraged me. He was never ashamed of me because I was in chains.

For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!“ Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

But now your brave warriors weep in public. Your ambassadors of peace cry in bitter disappointment.

boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

David said,“ I am going to show loyalty to Hanun just as his father, Nahash, was always loyal to me.” So David sent ambassadors to express sympathy to Hanun about his father’s death. But when David’s ambassadors arrived in the land of Ammon,the Ammonite commanders said to Hanun, their master,“ Do you really think these men are coming here to honor your father? No! David has sent them to spy out the city so they can come in and conquer it!”So Hanun seized David’s ambassadors and shaved off half of each man’s beard, cut off their robes at the buttocks, and sent them back to David in shame.When David heard what had happened, he sent messengers to tell the men,“ Stay at Jericho until your beards grow out, and then come back.” For they felt deep shame because of their appearance.When the people of Ammon realized how seriously they had angered David, they sent and hired 20,000 Aramean foot soldiers from the lands of Beth rehob and Zobah, 1,000 from the king of Maacah, and 12,000 from the land of Tob.

“ Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them.

An unreliable messenger stumbles into trouble, but a reliable messenger brings healing.

The Lord replied,“ Don’t say,‘ I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

They are a stubborn and hard hearted people. But I am sending you to say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says!’And whether they listen or refuse to listen— for remember, they are rebels— at least they will know they have had a prophet among them.“ Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels.You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!

“ Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast. Shout aloud! Don’t be timid. Tell my people Israel of their sins!

Then the commander arrested him and ordered him bound with two chains. He asked the crowd who he was and what he had done.

For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.

Paul replied,“ Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.”

And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.

But Peter and the apostles replied,“ We must obey God rather than any human authority.

Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.

You know how badly we had been treated at Philippi just before we came to you and how much we suffered there. Yet our God gave us the courage to declare his Good News to you boldly, in spite of great opposition.
