參加比賽的選手要接受嚴格的訓練，以求贏得桂冠，但這桂冠終必朽壞，我們要贏得的卻是永不朽壞的桂冠。因此，我奔跑不是漫無目標，我擊拳不是打空氣。我嚴格訓練自己，克服自身的軟弱，免得我傳福音給別人，自己卻被淘汰了。

去開他們的眼睛，使他們棄暗投明，脫離魔鬼的權勢，歸向上帝，好叫他們的罪得到赦免，與所有因信我而聖潔的人同得基業。』

因為我深信無論是死、是生，是天使、是鬼魔，是現在的事、是將來的事，

既然有這麼多見證人像雲彩一般圍繞著我們，我們就要放下一切重擔，擺脫容易纏累我們的罪，以堅忍的心奔跑我們前面的賽程，

讚美我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！祂在基督裡賜給了我們天上各樣屬靈的恩福。

弟兄姊妹，我告訴你們，血肉之軀不能承受上帝的國，必朽壞的身體也不能承受永不朽壞的產業。

遠遠超越今生永世所有執政的、掌權的、有能力的、作主宰的和一切的權勢。

目的是為了透過教會讓天上的執政者和掌權者現在可以看出上帝豐富的智慧。

基督已經升到天上，坐在上帝的右邊，眾天使、掌權的、有能力的都服從了祂。

「你們要努力進窄門，因為我告訴你們，將來有許多人想要進卻進不去。

我不再跟你們多談，因為世界的王快要來了。他根本沒有力量勝過我，

同樣，參加比賽的人若不遵守比賽規則，就不可能得獎。

耶和華問撒旦：「你從哪裡來？」撒旦答道：「我在地上到處遊走。」

現在是這世界受審判的時候，世界的王要被趕出去了。

我天天和你們一起在聖殿裡，你們沒有抓我。但現在正是黑暗當權、你們得勢的時候了！」

在審判方面責備他們，是因為這世界的王受了審判。

耶穌對他說：「約拿的兒子西門啊，你是有福的！因為這件事不是屬血肉的人告訴你的，而是我天上的父啟示你的。

其實你們與罪惡搏鬥，還沒有抵擋到流血的地步。

上帝既然樂意把祂的兒子啟示給我，叫我向外族人傳揚祂的福音，我就沒有跟任何人商量，
