to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.

But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.Beloved, I beseech you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world- rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief:for ye are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that are drunken are drunken in the night.But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; in paths that they know not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.

yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.

and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,

If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.

Have respect unto the covenant; For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of violence.

Wherefore remember, that once ye, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness?

and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:
