He did this by predestining us to adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of his will–

又因爱我们，就按着自己的意旨所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分，

他按着自己旨意所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分，

他按着自己旨意所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分，

上帝因为爱我们，就按照祂自己美好的旨意，预定我们借着耶稣基督得到做祂儿女的名分。

他又按着自己旨意所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分，

照着自己心愿的美意，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得着儿子的名份，归于他自己，

又因愛我們，就按着自己的意旨所喜悅的，預定我們藉着耶穌基督得兒子的名分，

他按着自己旨意所喜悅的，預定我們藉着耶穌基督得兒子的名分，

他按着自己旨意所喜悅的，預定我們藉着耶穌基督得兒子的名分，

上帝因為愛我們，就按照祂自己美好的旨意，預定我們藉著耶穌基督得到作祂兒女的名分。

他又按著自己旨意所喜悅的，預定我們藉著耶穌基督得兒子的名分，

他按着自己旨意所喜悅的、豫定我們藉着耶穌基督得了被立為子的名分、而歸於他，

照著自己心願的美意，預定我們藉著耶穌基督得著兒子的名份，歸於他自己，

依厥善旨、以愛預定我儕、由耶穌基督得為其子、

依厥善意、念耶穌基督、預定我儕為子、

又按其旨、預定我儕由耶穌基督得為其子、

蓋天主秉其仁慈、隨其意之所悅預定吾人緣耶穌基督、得為天主之眾嗣、

he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

So he decided long ago to adopt us. He adopted us as his children with all the rights children have. He did it because of what Jesus Christ has done. It pleased God to do it.

he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will,

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,

In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will

because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.

to redeem those who were under the law, so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls“ Abba! Father!”

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“ Abba, Father.”The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children.And if children, then heirs( namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)– if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.

But to all who have received him– those who believe in his name– he has given the right to become God’s children

Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the All- Powerful Lord.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

and not for the Jewish nation only, but to gather together into one the children of God who are scattered.)

He did this when he revealed to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“ My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.“ For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son he accepts.”Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?But if you do not experience discipline, something all sons have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons.Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life?

And in this regard we pray for you always, that our God will make you worthy of his calling and fulfill by his power your every desire for goodness and every work of faith,

“ I thought to myself,‘ Oh what a joy it would be for me to treat you like a son! What a joy it would be for me to give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful piece of property there is in all the world!’ I thought you would call me,‘ Father’ and would never cease being loyal to me.

( 2: 1) However, in the future the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the sea which can be neither measured nor numbered. Although it was said to them,“ You are not my people,” it will be said to them,“ You are children of the living God!”

For since in the wisdom of God the world by its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased to save those who believe by the foolishness of preaching.

even before they were born or had done anything good or bad( so that God’s purpose in election would stand, not by works but by his calling)–

On that same occasion Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.

for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort– for the sake of his good pleasure– is God.

Even now you say to me,‘ You are my father! You have been my faithful companion ever since I was young.

All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him,‘ What have you done?’

Jesus replied,“ Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

For it was fitting for him, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For indeed he who makes holy and those being made holy all have the same origin, and so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.”Again he says,“ I will be confident in him,” and again,“ Here I am, with the children God has given me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death.

Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.

The people of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented when Jonah preached to them– and now, something greater than Jonah is here!
