人心比萬物都詭詐，無法醫治；誰能識透呢？

對惡行已判定的刑罰遲遲沒有執行，世人的心就充滿行惡的意圖。

我又專心究察智慧和知識，狂妄和愚昧，才知道這也是捕風。

這些人充滿了各樣的不義、邪惡、貪心、陰險；滿懷嫉妒、兇殺、好鬥、欺詐、幸災樂禍；又是好說讒言的、毀謗人的、憎恨神的、凌辱人的、傲慢的、自誇的、製造惡事的、忤逆父母的、冥頑不靈的、不守信用的、冷酷無情的、沒有惻隱之心的。

我們從前也是無知、不順服、受了迷惑、被各種私慾和逸樂所奴役，生活在惡毒和嫉妒之中，是可憎可惡的，並且互相仇視。

塵土要歸回原來之地，靈要歸回賜靈的神。

他曾經因著自己的過犯受了責備：不能說話的驢，竟用人的聲音說出話來，制止了這先知的狂妄。

何況那可憎又腐敗，喝罪孽如同喝水的世人呢？

保羅申訴到這裡，非斯都大聲說：“保羅！你瘋了；你的學問太大，使你瘋了！”

他醒悟過來，說：‘我父親有那麼多雇工，又有豐富的食物，我卻要在這裡餓死嗎？

他們卻大怒，彼此商議怎樣對付耶穌。

惡人必因自己所行的惡事被推倒，義人死的時候仍有所倚靠。

我轉念，一心去了解、考察並尋覓智慧和事理，又要知道愚蒙是邪惡的，狂妄是愚昧的。

看哪，我是在罪孽裡生的；我母親在罪中懷了我。

眾人的命運都是一樣的：義人與惡人、好人與壞人、潔淨的與不潔淨的、獻祭的與不獻祭的，所遭遇的都是一樣的；好人怎樣，罪人也怎樣；起誓的怎樣，怕起誓的也怎樣。

因為從心裡出來的，有惡念、兇殺、姦淫、淫亂、偷盜、假見證和毀謗。這些才會使人污穢，不洗手吃飯卻不會這樣。”

因為從裡面，就是從人的心裡，發出惡念、淫亂、偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪心、邪惡、詭詐、放蕩、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、愚妄；這一切惡事，是從人裡面出來的，都能使人污穢。”

他不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。

耶和華聞了那馨香的氣味，就心裡說：“我必不再因人的緣故咒詛這地（因為人從小時開始心中所想的都是邪惡的）；我也必不再照著我作過的，擊殺各樣的活物。

我在各會堂裡多次用刑強迫他們說褻瀆的話；我非常憤恨他們，甚至追到國外的城巿去迫害他們。

耶和華看見人在地上的罪惡很大，終日心裡思念的，盡都是邪惡的。
