凡临到众人的事都是一样：义人和恶人都遭遇一样的事；好人，洁净人和不洁净人，献祭的与不献祭的，也是一样。好人如何，罪人也如何；起誓的如何，怕起誓的也如何。

All share a common destiny— the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good, so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them.

Everyone will die someday. Death comes to godly and sinful people alike. It comes to good and bad people alike. It comes to“ clean” and“ unclean” people alike. Those who offer sacrifices and those who don’t offer them also die. A good person dies, and so does a sinner. Those who make promises die. So do those who are afraid to make them.

It is the same for all, since the same event happens to the righteous and the wicked, to the good and the evil, to the clean and the unclean, to him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As the good one is, so is the sinner, and he who swears is as he who shuns an oath.

The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether righteous or wicked, good or bad, ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who make promises to God are treated like people who don’t.

那时，你们就要再看出义人与恶人、事奉神的人和不事奉他的人之间有什么分别。”

智慧人的眼目明亮，愚昧人却走在黑暗中。我也知道同一的命运要临到这两种人身上。我自己心里说：“临到愚昧人身上的，也必临到我身上；那么，我为什么要更有智慧呢？”于是我心里说：“这也是虚空。”因为智慧人和愚昧人一样，没有人永远记念他们，在未来的日子里，都会被人遗忘。可叹智慧人跟愚昧人一样，终必死亡。

所以我说，善恶都是一样，完全人和恶人，他都灭尽。

万军之耶和华说：“我必临近你们施行审判；我要快快指证那些行邪术的、犯奸淫的、起假誓的、在工钱上欺压雇工的、欺压孤儿寡妇的、屈枉寄居的和不敬畏我的。”

我看见恶人兴隆，我就嫉妒狂傲的人。

他们二人对她说：“如果你不遵照我们的话行，你叫我们起的誓就与我们无关了。你要留意，我们再到这地方的时候，你要把这条朱红色线系在你缒我们下去的窗户上；你也要把你的父母、兄弟和你父的全家，都聚集在你的屋里。任何人走出你家门，到外面去的，他的血就必归到他自己的头上，与我们无关；任何人同你在屋里的，如果有人下手加害他，他的血就归到我们头上。如果你泄漏了我们这次的行动，那么，你叫我们起的誓就与我们无关了。”

持守这个是好的，那个也不要放松，因为敬畏神的人，都必避免这两个极端。

罪人既然作恶百次，还享长寿，那么我知道敬畏神的人，就是在他面前存敬畏的心的，必享福乐。恶人却没有福乐，也得不到长寿；他好像影子的短暂，因为他在神面前不存敬畏的心。在世上有一件虚空的事，就是义人照恶人所行的受报应，恶人照义人所行的得报偿。我说，这也是虚空。

神把智慧、知识和喜乐赐给他所喜悦的人，却使罪人作收集和积聚的差事，把所得的归给神所喜悦的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

往服丧之家，比往宴乐之家还好，因为死是人人的结局，活人要把这事放在心上。

他对我说：“这是向全地发出的咒诅：凡偷盗的必照着书卷这面所写的被清除；凡起假誓的必照着那面所记的被清除。万军之耶和华说：‘我要使这书卷出去，进入盗贼的家和指着我的名起假誓之人的家，这书卷必留在他的家中，要把他家里的木料和石头都毁灭（这是万军之耶和华说的）。’”

恶人为什么总可以存活，活到老，而且财势强大？他们的后裔在他们面前坚定，他们眼见自己的子孙在他们周围立定。他们的家宅平安无惧，神的刑杖也不加在他们身上。他们的公牛交配而不落种，他们的母牛下犊而不掉胎，他们叫小孩子出去多如羊群，他们的年轻人四处跳跃；他们跟着琴鼓高歌，又因着箫的声音欢乐。他们幸福度过他们的日子，一剎那间下阴间，毫无病痛。然而他们对神说：‘离开我们吧，我们不愿意晓得你的道路。全能者是谁，竟要我们服事他呢？我们若向他恳求，有什么益处呢？’他们的福乐岂不是掌握在他们的手中？恶人的谋算离我很远。恶人的灯何尝熄灭？灾难何尝临到他们身上？神何尝在忿怒中把痛苦分给他们！他们何尝像风前的干草，何尝像暴风刮去的糠秕？你们说：‘神为恶人的儿女积蓄罪孽’，我却说：‘神报应他本人，好叫他自己明白。’愿他亲眼看见自己败落，愿他喝全能者的烈怒。他的岁月既然断绝，他还会看顾自己身后的家吗？神既然审判那些在高位的，谁能把什么知识教给他呢？有人到死的时候仍然气力充足，享尽平静与安逸；他的奶桶充满鲜奶，他的骨髓滋润。有人到死的时候心里痛苦，一生未尝美食；他们都一起躺在尘土中，虫子爬满他们身上。我知道你们的心思，与你们恶待我的计谋。你们问：‘霸王的房屋在哪里？恶人住过的帐棚在哪里？’你们没有问问过路的人吗？不承认他们所提的证据吗？就是恶人在灾难的日子得存留，在神发怒的时候得逃脱。他所行的，有谁敢当面指责他呢？他所作的，有谁能报应他呢？然而他被人抬到坟墓里，并且有人看守他的墓地。他以谷中的土块为甘甜，所有的人跟在他后面，走在他前面的不计其数。你们的回话既然只存虚假，怎样徒然安慰我呢？”

他藐视誓言，背弃条约；他已宣誓效忠，却又行了这一切事，所以他必不能逃脱。因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。

我要你指着耶和华天地的神起誓，不可从我现在居住的迦南人中，为我的儿子娶他们的女子为妻。

那人即使活了一千年，再活一千年，也享受不到什么；他们两者不是都归一个地方吗？

现在我们称骄傲的人为有福，作恶的人得建立；他们虽然试探神，却得以逃脱。’”

如果那女子不愿跟你来，我叫你所起的这誓就与你无关了。只是不可带我的儿子回到那里去。”于是，仆人把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿下，为这事向亚伯拉罕起誓。

他们进了树林，看见有蜂蜜流出来，却没有人敢伸手取蜜入口，因为众人都害怕所起的誓。
