再者，人无法知道何时大难临头。祸患突然临到时，人根本无法摆脱，就像鱼落入险恶的网中，又像鸟儿陷入网罗。

因為人類並不知道他自己的定時：魚怎樣被捉住於致禍的網裏，鳥怎樣被捉住於機檻中，人類當禍患時、災禍忽然降到他們身上時、人也怎樣被羅住。

人不自知其時、魚入於網、鳥罹於羅、患難猝臨之日、世人陷於其中、亦若是也、○

譬彼水族羽族、猝罹網羅、人遘飛殃、出於莫測者亦若是。

時勢或作終局如何、人不得知、如魚之入網、網原文作惡網如鳥之入羅、禍患忽臨於人、而人陷其中亦若是、○

Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.

No one knows when trouble will come to them. Fish are caught in nets. Birds are taken in traps. And people are trapped by hard times that come when they don’t expect them.

For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them.

People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy.

For certainly no one knows his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

For indeed, a person does not know his time: like fish that are caught in a treacherous net and birds caught in a snare, so the sons of mankind are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them.

For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

For man certainly does not know his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so[ are] the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

Surely, no one knows his appointed time! Like fish that are caught in a deadly net, and like birds that are caught in a snare– just like them, all people are ensnared at an unfortunate time that falls upon them suddenly.

For man also doesn’t know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

惡人犯罪，自陷圈套；惟獨義人歡呼喜樂。

人正說平安穩定的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同陣痛臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕逃脫不了。

凡遵守命令的，必不經歷禍患；智慧人的心知道適當的時機和必經的過程。各樣事務都有時機和過程，但人有苦難重壓在身。他不知道將來的事，其實將來如何，誰能告訴他呢？

「你們要謹慎，免得被貪食、醉酒和今生的憂慮壓住你們的心，那日子就忽然臨到你們，如同羅網一樣，因為那日子要臨到所有居住在地面上的人。你們要時時警醒，常常祈求，使你們能逃避這一切要來的事，得以站立在人子面前。」

你們要知道，一家的主人若知道賊甚麼時候來，就不容賊挖穿房屋。

判罪之後不立刻執行，所以世人滿懷作惡的心思。

你實在把他們安放在滑地，使他們跌倒滅亡；他們轉眼之間成了何等荒涼！他們被驚恐滅盡了。人睡醒了，怎樣看夢，主啊，你醒了也必照樣輕看他們的影像。

你為何使人如海中的魚，又如無人管轄的爬行動物呢？他用鈎子把他們全拉上來，用羅網捕獲他們，拉漁網聚集他們。因此，他歡喜快樂，向羅網獻祭，向漁網燒香；因為他藉此得豐盛的收穫與肥美的食物。但他豈可因此屢屢倒空羅網，時常殺戮列國的人，毫不顧惜呢？

挪亞的日子怎樣，人子的日子也要怎樣。那時，人又吃又喝，又娶又嫁，直到挪亞進方舟的那日，洪水就來，把他們全都滅了。同樣，就像在羅得的日子，人又吃又喝，又買又賣，又耕種又建造，到羅得離開所多瑪的那日，有火與硫磺從天上降下來，把他們全都滅了。人子顯現的日子也要這樣。在那日，人在屋頂上，東西在屋裏，不要下來拿；人在田裏，也不要回家。

青年立刻跟隨她，好像牛去被宰殺，又像愚妄人帶着腳鐐去受刑，直到箭穿進他的肝，如同雀鳥急投羅網，卻不知會賠上自己的生命。

所以，災難必突然臨到他，他必頃刻被毀，無從醫治。

他要向惡人密佈羅網，烈火、硫磺、熱風作他們杯中的份。

說：「但願你在這日子知道有關你平安的事，不過這事現在是隱藏的，你的眼睛看不出來。因為日子將到，你的仇敵要築起土壘包圍你，四面困住你，並要消滅你和你裏頭的兒女，連一塊石頭也不留在另一塊石頭上，因為你不知道你蒙眷顧的時候。」

神卻對他說：『無知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

你們在外邦人中要品行端正，好讓那些人，雖然毀謗你們是作惡的，會因看見你們的好行為而在鑒察的日子歸榮耀給神。

他因自己的腳陷入網中，走在纏人的網子上。羅網必抓住他的腳跟，陷阱必擒獲他。繩索為他藏在土裏，羈絆為他藏在路上。

因此，這罪孽在你們身上，好像高牆裏有凸起的裂縫，頃刻之間忽然坍下來了；

但這些人好像沒有理性的牲畜，生來就是要被捉拿宰殺的。他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，正在敗壞人的時候，自己也遭遇敗壞，

因為他說：「在悅納的時候，我應允了你；在拯救的日子，我幫助了你。」看哪，現在正是悅納的時候！看哪，現在正是拯救的日子！

讓他們這些已被魔鬼擄去順從他詭計的人能醒悟過來，脫離他的羅網。
