For I have taken all this to my heart, even to examine it all, that righteous people, wise people, and their deeds are in the hand of God. People do not know whether it will be love or hatred; anything awaits them.

凡此諸事、我決志詳察之、則知義者與智者、及其作為、咸在上帝之手、或蒙愛、或見惡、人不之知、悉在其前、

我竭吾心思、詳察百事、知義人智人之所為、咸歸上帝治理、惟觀其人之所值、而上帝之眷顧與否、仍難逆料。

我專心觀此諸事、究此諸事、知善人與智人及其作為、皆為天主所掌、或愛或惡、人無所能知、因諸事盡屬未來、或愛或惡人無所能知因諸事盡屬未來或作或愛或惡與諸未來之事人無所能知

So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them.

I thought about all these things. I realized that those who are wise and do what is right are under God’s control. What they do is also under his control. But no one knows whether they will be loved or hated.

But all this I laid to heart, examining it all, how the righteous and the wise and their deeds are in the hand of God. Whether it is love or hate, man does not know; both are before him.

This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in God’s hands, no one knows whether God will show them favor.

Indeed, I took all this to heart and explained it all: The righteous, the wise, and their works are in God’s hands. People don’t know whether to expect love or hate. Everything lies ahead of them.

For I considered all this in my heart, so that I could declare it all: that the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God. People know neither love nor hatred by anything they see before them.

For all this I laid to my heart, even to explore all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God; whether it be love or hatred, man knoweth it not; all is before them.

Indeed, I took all this to heart and explained it all: the righteous, the wise, and their works are in God’s hands. People don’t know whether to expect love or hate. Everything lies ahead of them.

For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works,[ are] in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred[ by] all[ that is] before them.

So I reflected on all this, attempting to clear it all up. I concluded that the righteous and the wise, as well as their works, are in the hand of God; whether a person will be loved or hated– no one knows what lies ahead.

For all this I laid to my heart, even to explore all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God; whether it is love or hatred, man doesn’t know it; all is before them.

Indeed, He loves the people; All Your holy ones are in Your hand, And they followed in Your steps; Everyone takes of Your words.

In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?

There is futility which is done on the earth, that is, there are righteous people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the wicked. On the other hand, there are evil people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the righteous. I say that this too is futility.

My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

When I devoted my mind to know wisdom and to see the business which has been done on the earth( even though one should never sleep day or night),

And the king said to Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the Lord, then He will bring me back and show me both it and His habitation.But if He says this:‘ I have no delight in you,’ then here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

For this reason I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to protect what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Lord, You will establish peace for us, Since You have also performed for us all our works.

Listen to Me, you islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me.He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a sharpened arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.He said to Me,“ You are My Servant, Israel, In whom I will show My glory.”But I said,“ I have labored in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and futility; Nevertheless, the justice due to Me is with the Lord, And My reward is with My God.”

who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also put God to the test and escape punishment.’ ”Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.“ And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies,“ on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

“ But as for me, I would seek God, And I would make my plea before God,

Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established.

And I applied my mind to know wisdom and to know insanity and foolishness; I realized that this also is striving after wind.

For I was envious of the arrogant As I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

You have seen it, for You have looked at harm and provocation to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan.

Now behold, I have made you today like a fortified city and like a pillar of iron and walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its leaders, to its priests, and to the people of the land.And they will fight against you but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you,” declares the Lord.

They say,“ How does God know? And is there knowledge with the Most High?”Behold, these are the wicked; And always at ease, they have increased in wealth.Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure And washed my hands in innocence;

I have seen everything during my lifetime of futility; there is a righteous person who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked person who prolongs his life in his wickedness.

What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.Now the one who plants and the one who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each person must be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,each one’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work.If anyone’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet only so as through fire.

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.He will bring out your righteousness as the light, And your judgment as the noonday.

Into Your hand I entrust my spirit; You have redeemed me, Lord, God of truth.

He watches over the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a person prevail.

I directed my mind to know and to investigate, and to seek wisdom and an explanation, and to know the evil of foolishness and the foolishness of insanity.

In addition to being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge; and he pondered, searched out, and arranged many proverbs.The Preacher sought to find delightful words and to write words of truth correctly.

Yet the fool multiplies words. No person knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him?
