Indeed, I took all this to heart and explained it all: The righteous, the wise, and their works are in God’s hands. People don’t know whether to expect love or hate. Everything lies ahead of them.

凡此諸事、我決志詳察之、則知義者與智者、及其作為、咸在上帝之手、或蒙愛、或見惡、人不之知、悉在其前、

我竭吾心思、詳察百事、知義人智人之所為、咸歸上帝治理、惟觀其人之所值、而上帝之眷顧與否、仍難逆料。

我專心觀此諸事、究此諸事、知善人與智人及其作為、皆為天主所掌、或愛或惡、人無所能知、因諸事盡屬未來、或愛或惡人無所能知因諸事盡屬未來或作或愛或惡與諸未來之事人無所能知

So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them.

I thought about all these things. I realized that those who are wise and do what is right are under God’s control. What they do is also under his control. But no one knows whether they will be loved or hated.

But all this I laid to heart, examining it all, how the righteous and the wise and their deeds are in the hand of God. Whether it is love or hate, man does not know; both are before him.

This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in God’s hands, no one knows whether God will show them favor.

For I have taken all this to my heart, even to examine it all, that righteous people, wise people, and their deeds are in the hand of God. People do not know whether it will be love or hatred; anything awaits them.

For I considered all this in my heart, so that I could declare it all: that the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God. People know neither love nor hatred by anything they see before them.

For all this I laid to my heart, even to explore all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God; whether it be love or hatred, man knoweth it not; all is before them.

For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works,[ are] in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred[ by] all[ that is] before them.

So I reflected on all this, attempting to clear it all up. I concluded that the righteous and the wise, as well as their works, are in the hand of God; whether a person will be loved or hated– no one knows what lies ahead.

For all this I laid to my heart, even to explore all this: that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God; whether it is love or hatred, man doesn’t know it; all is before them.

Indeed he loves the people. All your holy ones are in your hand, and they assemble at your feet. Each receives your words.

The life of every living thing is in his hand, as well as the breath of all humanity.

There is a futility that is done on the earth: there are righteous people who get what the actions of the wicked deserve, and there are wicked people who get what the actions of the righteous deserve. I say that this too is futile.

My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me.I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.I and the Father are one.”

When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the activity that is done on the earth( even though one’s eyes do not close in sleep day or night),

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.However, if he should say,‘ I do not delight in you,’ then here I am— he can do with me whatever pleases him.”

and that is why I suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until that day.

LORD, you will establish peace for us, for you have also done all our work for us.

Coasts and islands, listen to me; distant peoples, pay attention. The LORD called me before I was born. He named me while I was in my mother’s womb.He made my words like a sharp sword; he hid me in the shadow of his hand. He made me like a sharpened arrow; he hid me in his quiver.He said to me,“ You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”But I myself said: I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and futility; yet my vindication is with the LORD, and my reward is with my God.

You are being guarded by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

So now we consider the arrogant to be fortunate. Not only do those who commit wickedness prosper, they even test God and escape.”At that time those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for his name.“ They will be mine,” says the LORD of Armies,“ my own possession on the day I am preparing. I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him.So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

However, if I were you, I would appeal to God and would present my case to him.

Commit your activities to the LORD, and your plans will be established.

I applied my mind to know wisdom and knowledge, madness and folly; I learned that this too is a pursuit of the wind.

For I envied the arrogant; I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

But you yourself have seen trouble and grief, observing it in order to take the matter into your hands. The helpless one entrusts himself to you; you are a helper of the fatherless.

Today, I am the one who has made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land— against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the population.They will fight against you but never prevail over you, since I am with you to rescue you.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

The wicked say,“ How can God know? Does the Most High know everything?”Look at them— the wicked! They are always at ease, and they increase their wealth.Did I purify my heart and wash my hands in innocence for nothing?

In my futile life I have seen everything: someone righteous perishes in spite of his righteousness, and someone wicked lives long in spite of his evil.

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given.I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building.According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one is to be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay any foundation other than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,each one’s work will become obvious. For the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work.If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward.If anyone’s work is burned up, he will experience loss, but he himself will be saved— but only as through fire.

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act,making your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday.

Into your hand I entrust my spirit; you have redeemed me, LORD, God of truth.

He guards the steps of his faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness, for a person does not prevail by his own strength.

I turned my thoughts to know, explore, and examine wisdom and an explanation for things, and to know that wickedness is stupidity and folly is madness.

In addition to the Teacher being a wise man, he constantly taught the people knowledge; he weighed, explored, and arranged many proverbs.The Teacher sought to find delightful sayings and write words of truth accurately.

yet the fool multiplies words. No one knows what will happen, and who can tell anyone what will happen after him?
