I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

她的家陷入死地，她的轍跡偏向陰魂之處；凡進去找她的都不得轉回，也不能再達到人生的路徑。

誰使上帝喜悅，上帝就給誰智慧、知識、和喜樂；惟有罪人、上帝卻給他勞苦，叫他將所收聚所積蓄的歸給那使上帝所喜悅的人：這也是虛空，也是捕風。

智慧必援救你遠離陌生婦人，遠離說諂媚話的外女；

淫婦用許多花言巧語來引誘他，用諂媚的嘴強迫他。那愚蠢人跟着她走，像牛進屠宰場，像狗被引誘到鐵鏈中；如同鳥兒急入機檻，卻不知那會要了牠的命；等到有箭穿進牠的肝兒，卻已遲了。如今弟子啊，你們要聽我，要留心聽我口中的訓言。你的心不可偏向淫婦的路；你不可迷入她的路徑；因為她所擊倒而死的很多；她所殺戮的實在無數。她的住所是引到陰間的路，是下到死亡之密宮。

因為妓女是深坑；外女是窄阱；她並且埋伏着像強盜，使人間增加背信奸詐的人。

人卻不知陰魂之處就在那裏；她的顧客就在陰間的深處。

大利拉見參孫把全心所藏的都告訴了她，就打發人去請非利士人的霸主們來，說：『這一次你們上來吧！因為他已經把他全心所藏的都告訴了我了。』於是非利士人的霸主們上到婦人那裏，手裏都把銀子帶上去。大利拉使參孫枕着她的膝蓋而睡覺，便叫了一個人來，把參孫頭上的七辮頭髮都剃掉；大利拉開始剋制了他，他的力氣真地離開了他。大利拉說：『參孫哪，非利士人來拿你來了。』參孫睡醒了來，心裏說：『我要像前幾次出去運動運動』；卻不知道永恆主已經離開了他。非利士人把他抓住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘束着他；他就在監牢裏做推磨的人。
