I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

A woman who hunts a man down is more painful than death. Her heart is like a trap. Her hands are like chains. A man who pleases God will try to get away from her. But she will trap a sinner.

And I find something more bitter than death: the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is taken by her.

淫妇的口是深坑，耶和华憎恶的人必陷进去。

淫妇满口甜言蜜语，油嘴滑舌，最后却苦如艾草，锋利似双刃剑。她的双脚走进死地，她的步伐迈向阴间。

她的家通向死亡，她的路直达阴间。到她那里的人都有去无回，找不到生命之道。

上帝把智慧、知识和喜乐赐给祂喜悦的人，却让罪人忙于积攒财富，然后把他们的财富赐给祂喜悦的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

智慧要救你脱离淫妇，脱离花言巧语的妓女。

淫妇花言巧语勾引他，用谄媚的话语诱惑他。那青年立刻随她而去，像走向屠宰场的公牛，又像掉入陷阱的雄鹿，直等到利箭射穿他的肝。他像只自投网罗的飞鸟，浑然不知要赔上性命！孩子们啊，你们要听从我的话，留意我口中的训言，别让你的心偏向淫妇的道，步入她的歧途。因为她使许多人丧命，被她杀害的数目众多。她的家是通往阴间的路，引人坠入死亡的殿。

妓女是深坑，淫妇是陷阱；她像强盗般埋伏，使世间增添奸徒。

他们却不知她那里鬼影憧憧，她的客人已落在阴间的深处。

大利拉见他说出了心中的秘密，就派人去通知非利士人的首领，说：“你们再来一次吧，他已经把秘密告诉我了。”于是，他们带着银子去了。大利拉哄参孙枕着她的腿睡觉，然后叫人来剃掉他的七根发辫，使他力气尽失，无力反抗。她喊道：“参孙，非利士人来捉你了！”参孙醒来，心想：“我要像前几次一样挣脱捆绑。”他却不知道耶和华已经离开他了。非利士人拿住他，剜了他的眼睛，把他带到迦萨，用铜链锁住他，让他在监牢里推磨。
