以上所說的，總而言之，就是要敬畏上帝，遵守祂的誡命，這是人的本分。

「法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們將薄荷、茴香、各樣蔬菜獻上十分之一，卻忽略了上帝的公義和仁愛。後者是你們本該做的，前者也不可忽略。

你要早晚不停地撒種，因為你不知道什麼時候撒的種子會發芽生長，或許所撒的都會帶來收穫。

雖然罪人作惡多端仍得長壽，我卻認為敬畏上帝的人必亨通。

我知道，上帝所做的都會存到永遠，誰也不能增減。祂這樣安排是叫人敬畏祂。

但必有公義的太陽為你們這些敬畏我名的人升起，它的光芒有醫治的能力。你們必像欄中出來的牛犢一樣歡欣跳躍。

凡敬畏耶和華的人，耶和華必指示他當走的路。他必享福，他的後代必承受土地。耶和華與敬畏祂的人為友，使他們認識祂的約。

祂使敬畏祂的人心願得償，垂聽他們的呼求，拯救他們。耶和華保護所有愛祂的人，毀滅一切惡人。

我在公義的道上奔走，在公平的路上前行。

祂憐憫敬畏祂的人，直到世世代代。

我要與他們立永遠的約，永遠恩待他們，使他們對我心存敬畏，不再背棄我。

眼睛要正視前方，雙目要向前直看。要鋪平腳下的路，使所行之道穩妥。不可偏右偏左，要遠離惡事。
