爾勿問云、緣何今日不如昔日、爾如是問、則非出於智慧、

不要说：先前的日子强过如今的日子，是什么缘故呢？你这样问，不是出于智慧。

不要说：为什么先前的日子强过现今的日子呢？你这样问不是出于智慧。

不要说：为什么先前的日子强过现今的日子呢？你这样问不是出于智慧。

不要问为什么过去比现在好，因为这样问不明智。

你不要说：“为什么从前的日子胜过现在的呢？”你这样问，不是出于智慧。

不要说：“为什么先前的日子好过现在的日子呢？”因为你这样问不是出于智慧。

不要說：先前的日子強過如今的日子，是甚麼緣故呢？你這樣問，不是出於智慧。

不要說：為甚麼先前的日子強過現今的日子呢？你這樣問不是出於智慧。

不要說：為甚麼先前的日子強過現今的日子呢？你這樣問不是出於智慧。

不要問為什麼過去比現在好，因為這樣問不明智。

你不要說：“為甚麼從前的日子勝過現在的呢？”你這樣問，不是出於智慧。

你不要說：『為甚麼先前的日子比如今這些日子好呢？』因為你問到這事、並不是出於智慧。

不要說：「為什麼先前的日子好過現在的日子呢？」因為你這樣問不是出於智慧。

勿謂今不如古何耶、詢此、乃不智也、

勿是古非今、而尚論其事、此非智者所為也。

Do not say,“ Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Don’t say,“ Why were things better in the good old days?” It isn’t wise to ask that kind of question.

Say not,“ Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.

Don’t long for“ the good old days.” This is not wise.

Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.

Don’t say,“ Why were the former days better than these?” since it is not wise of you to ask this.

Say not thou, What is[ the cause] that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

Do not say,“ Why were the old days better than these days?” for it is not wise to ask that.

Don’t say,“ Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.

基甸曰、我主歟、如耶和華祐我、何至所遇若此、我列祖嘗向我傳述曰、主導我出伊及、今主之異跡安在、斯時主竟棄我、付我於米甸人手、

自稱為智、反成愚魯、以永生不可壞天主之榮、易以偶像、髣髴可壞之人、及禽獸昆蟲之形、故天主聽其心之嗜慾、淪於污穢、互辱其身、彼以天主之真、易以虛偽、崇拜奉事受造之物、不崇拜奉事造物之主、即永當頌美者也、阿們、是以天主聽其縱可恥之慾、婦女以順性之用、易以逆性之用、男子亦然、棄婦女順性之用、嗜慾薰心、彼此相戀、男與男作愧恥之事、在己身受其妄為應得之報、彼既不願存天主於念、天主聽其存邪僻之心、行所不當行者、充諸不義、姦淫、邪惡、貪婪、暴狠、又滿以嫉妒、兇殺、爭鬥、詭詐、刻薄、為殘害者、毀謗者、怨天主者、傲慢者、驕縱者、矜誇者、機心作惡者、違逆父母者、愚頑者、背約者、無情者、結怨者、不慈者、彼雖知凡行此者、天主擬之以死、乃不獨自行之、亦以他人行之為樂、

然則何歟、我儕猶太人有所、勝乎、無有、我已明證猶太人、希拉人、皆服罪、如經載云、無有義人、即一義人亦無有、無人曉悟、無人尋求天主、皆棄正道、同為無用、無有行善者、即一亦無有、其喉似已開之墓、其舌施詭詐、其唇藏蝮毒、其口充咒詛惡言、其足疾趨以流人血、所經之途、徧加殘害苦難、不知平康之路、目中無天主可畏、我儕知律法所言、為律法下之人言之、以塞諸口、使舉世服罪於天主前、

主自天鑒察世人、見有明道尋求天主之人否、竟悉背逆、皆陷污穢、無行善之人、即一人亦無有、

主如是云、我出爾母、離書安在、或作何嘗有離書我鬻爾於我何債主乎、爾曹見鬻、因爾之罪也、爾母見出、因爾之愆也、

舉世敗壞於天主前、強暴徧行、天主見世間敗壞、在地凡有血氣者所行皆邪僻、
