就使那人活了千年，再活了千年，卻沒有經驗過享樂，有甚麼用處？眾人不是都要歸於一個地方去麼？

那人虽然活千年，再活千年，却不享福，众人岂不都归一个地方去吗？

那人雖然活千年，再活千年，卻不享福，眾人豈不都歸一個地方去嗎？

其人生存、雖歷千年而倍之、未嘗享福、其終非同歸一所乎、

吝者生於世、雖永壽二千年、未嘗一日厚於自奉、其後與眾同歸一邱。

彼有福而不自享、雖壽至二千年、亦屬徒然、終與眾人同往一所、○

even if he lives a thousand years twice over but fails to enjoy his prosperity. Do not all go to the same place?

And that’s true even if he lives for 2,000 years but doesn’t get to enjoy his wealth. All people die and go to the grave, don’t they?

Even though he should live a thousand years twice over, yet enjoy no good— do not all go to the one place?

He might live a thousand years twice over but still not find contentment. And since he must die like everyone else— well, what’s the use?

And if a person lives a thousand years twice, but does not experience happiness, do not both go to the same place?

他們都向着一處走：都是出於塵土，也都回歸塵土。

按所保留給人的、只有一次的死，死後有審判。

因為我知道你必使我歸回死地，到那為眾生所定的陰間聚宅。

說：『我赤身出母腹，也必赤身歸回；永恆主賞賜，永恆主取去；願永恆主的名受祝頌。』

那裏必不再有數日夭折的嗍奶孩子，也沒有不滿壽數的老人；因為百歲死去的、仍算為青年，百歲的罪人仍算為被咒詛。

亞當活在世上的日子共有九百三十年，然後死。

『你要記得、我的性命只是一口氣；我的眼不會再見福樂。

人若生了一百個孩子，活了許多歲數，以致他的年日很多，但他心裏卻不得飽享福樂，他又不得適當的葬禮；我說流產胎比他還好。

許多人總說：「誰能指示我們甚麼好處？」永恆主啊，揚起你臉上的光來照我們哦。你使我心裏快樂，勝過豐收了五穀新酒時的歡喜。

有甚麼人願有壽命，有誰愛好長壽，好經驗美福？

並不是他們建造、而別人來居住；並不是他們栽種、而別人來喫；因為我人民的壽數必像樹木的壽數；我選民親手作工得來的、他們都必充分地享用。

他正像原野上的杜松，福樂來到，他也看不見，他卻要住在曠野焦乾之處，無人居住之鹹地。

以諾在世的日子、共有三百六十五年。以諾跟上帝往來，上帝將他取去，他就不在了。

不然塵土就仍回歸於地，靈就仍回歸於賜靈的上帝了。
