人之畢生、虛度之日如影、何者有益於彼、孰其知之、逝世之後、日下將有何事、孰能告之、

人生斯世、歷日無幾、如影沉西、逝世之後、不識復有何事、以是觀之、安在所謂真福。

人生於世、為日無多、虛空若影、孰能知在世之時、何者為益、人逝世後、將有何事於日下、孰能告之、

For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone?

Who knows what’s good for a person? They live for only a few meaningless days. They pass through life like a shadow. Who can tell them what will happen on earth after they are gone?

For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow? For who can tell man what will be after him under the sun?

In the few days of our meaningless lives, who knows how our days can best be spent? Our lives are like a shadow. Who can tell what will happen on this earth after we are gone?

For who knows what is good for anyone in life, in the few days of his futile life that he spends like a shadow? Who can tell anyone what will happen after him under the sun?

For who knows what is good for a person during his lifetime, during the few years of his futile life? He will spend them like a shadow. For who can tell a person what will happen after him under the sun?

For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he passes like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after him under the sun?

For no one knows what is best for a person during his life– during the few days of his fleeting life– for they pass away like a shadow. Nor can anyone tell him what the future will hold for him on earth.

其实明天如何，你们还不知道。你们的生命是什么呢？你们原来是一片云雾，出现片刻就不见了。

他出来如花，凋谢而去；他飞逝如影，不能存留。

我心里说：“耶和华是我的福分，因此，我要仰望他。”凡等候耶和华，心里寻求他的，耶和华必施恩给他。人仰望耶和华，安静等候他的救恩，这是好的。人在年轻时负轭，这是好的。

总而言之，人能够在他经营的事上喜乐，是最好不过了，因为这是他应得的报偿。他身后的事谁能领他回来看呢？

恶人却不得福乐，他的日子好像影儿不得长久，因为他不敬畏神。

人不过像一口气，他的年日如影消逝。

看哪，你使我的年日窄如手掌，我一生的年数，在你面前如同无有；各人最稳妥的时候，真是全然虚幻。（细拉）世人行动实系幻影，他们忙乱，真是枉然，积蓄财宝，不知将来有谁收取。

他不知道将来的事，其实将来如何，谁能告诉他呢？

我们一生的年日是七十岁，若是强壮可到八十岁；但其中所矜夸的不过是劳苦愁烦，转眼即逝，我们便如飞而去。谁晓得你怒气的权势？谁因着敬畏你而晓得你的愤怒呢？求你指教我们怎样数算自己的日子，好叫我们得着智慧的心。

至于我，我必因公正得见你的面；我醒了的时候，你的形像使我满足。

求你想念我的生命是何等短暂。你创造世人，要使他们归于何等的虚空呢？

我的年日如夕阳，我也如草枯干。

世人哪，耶和华已指示你何为善。他向你所要的是什么呢？只要你行公义，好怜悯，存谦卑的心与你的神同行。

他们的爱，他们的恨，他们的嫉妒，早就消灭了。在日光之下所发生的一切事，他们永不再有份了。

我们在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，与我们的列祖一样。我们在世的日子如影子，没有盼望。

我如日影偏斜而去，如蝗虫被抖出来。

我们不过从昨日才有，一无所知，因我们在世的日子好像影子。

有许多人说：“谁能指示我们什么好处？耶和华啊，求你用你脸上的光照耀我们。”

他的儿子得尊荣，他不知道；他们降为卑，他也不晓得。

这些事都已听见了，结论就是：敬畏神，谨守他的诫命，这是人当尽的本分。

他为我们选择产业，就是他所爱之雅各的荣耀。（细拉）

我心以智慧引导我，我心里探究，如何用酒使身体舒畅，如何抓住愚昧，直等我看明世人在天下短暂一生中，当行何事为美。

耶和华是我的产业，是我杯中的福分；我所得的，你为我持守。
