爾見國中貧者受虐、或見審鞫時顛倒是非、勿因此驚疑、蓋人居高位、有較彼位高者鑒察之、鑒察之或作治理之其上又有至高者、

Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore fear God.

Dreaming too much and talking too much are meaningless. So have respect for God.

For when dreams increase and words grow many, there is vanity; but God is the one you must fear.

Talk is cheap, like daydreams and other useless activities. Fear God instead.

掛慮多就令人作夢，言語多就顯出愚昧。

罪人既然作惡百次，還享長壽，那麼我知道敬畏神的人，就是在他面前存敬畏的心的，必享福樂。

你們中間誰是敬畏耶和華，聽從他僕人的聲音的？誰是行在黑暗中，沒有亮光的呢？他該倚靠耶和華的名，依賴他的神。看哪！你們點火的，用火把圍繞自己的，都行在你們火燄的光裡，都走在你們所燃點的火把中吧！這是你們從我手裡所要得的：你們必躺臥在痛苦之中。
