並且我以為那未曾生的，就是未見過日光之下惡事的，比這兩等人更強。

不过，比以上两种人更幸运的是那从未出生的人，他们从未见过日光之下各样的恶行。

那还没生下来的，就是还没看过日光之下所行的恶事的，比这两种人更有福。

但那还没有出生的人，比这两者更好，因他没有见过在日光之下所行的恶事。

但那尚未出生，就是未曾見過日光之下所發生之惡事的，比這兩種人更幸福。

不過，比以上兩種人更幸運的是那從未出生的人，他們從未見過日光之下各樣的惡行。

那還沒生下來的，就是還沒看過日光之下所行的惡事的，比這兩種人更有福。

我並且以為、那未曾生的、就是那未曾經驗過日光之下所發生的壞事的、比這兩種人還好。

但那還沒有出生的人，比這兩者更好，因他沒有見過在日光之下所行的惡事。

且以未生之人、未睹日下所作之惡者、較斯二者為尤愈也、○

又思未生於斯世者、未見斯人之穢行、較生而復死者、尤為幸甚。

較此二者、未生於世、未見日下所作之惡事者更為幸、○

But better than both is the one who has never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.

But someone who hasn’t been born yet is better off than the dead or the living. That’s because that person hasn’t seen the evil things that are done on earth.

But better than both is he who has not yet been and has not seen the evil deeds that are done under the sun.

But most fortunate of all are those who are not yet born. For they have not seen all the evil that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yet, better than both is he who has never existed, Who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

yea, better than them both did I esteem him that hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yea, better[ is he] than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than both is the one who has not been born and has not seen the evil things that are done on earth.

Yes, better than them both is him who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

因為日子要到，人必說：『不生育的，和未曾懷胎的，未曾乳養嬰孩的，有福了！』

人若生一百個兒子，活許多歲數，以致他的年日甚多，心裏卻不得滿享福樂，又不得埋葬；據我說，那不到期而落的胎比他倒好。因為虛虛而來，暗暗而去，名字被黑暗遮蔽，並且沒有見過天日，也毫無知覺；這胎，比那人倒享安息。

當那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的有禍了。

因沒有把懷我胎的門關閉，也沒有將患難對我的眼隱藏。我為何不出母胎而死？為何不出母腹絕氣？為何有膝接收我？為何有奶哺養我？不然，我就早已躺臥安睡，和地上為自己重造荒邱的君王、謀士，或與有金子、將銀子裝滿了房屋的王子一同安息；或像隱而未現、不到期而落的胎，歸於無有，如同未見光的嬰孩。

他們尋見墳墓就快樂，極其歡喜。

你為何使我出母胎呢？不如我當時氣絕，無人得見我；這樣，就如沒有我一般，一出母胎就被送入墳墓。

我見日光之下所做的一切事，都是虛空，都是捕風。

我說：但願我有翅膀像鴿子，我就飛去，得享安息。我必遠遊，宿在曠野。（細拉）我必速速逃到避所，脫離狂風暴雨。主啊，求你吞滅他們，變亂他們的舌頭！因為我在城中見了強暴爭競的事。他們在城牆上晝夜繞行；在城內也有罪孽和奸惡。邪惡在其中；欺壓和詭詐不離街市。

惟願我在曠野有行路人住宿之處，使我可以離開我的民出去；因他們都是行姦淫的，是行詭詐的一黨。他們彎起舌頭像弓一樣，為要說謊話。他們在國中增長勢力，不是為行誠實，乃是惡上加惡，並不認識我。這是耶和華說的。

我所以恨惡生命；因為在日光之下所行的事我都以為煩惱，都是虛空，都是捕風。

因他在我未出胎的時候不殺我，使我母親成了我的墳墓，胎就時常重大。我為何出胎見勞碌愁苦，使我的年日因羞愧消滅呢？
