我復思天下之秉鈞者、虐遇民人、民罹其酷、靡不墮淚、慰藉無人。

我又转念，见日光之下所行的一切欺压。看哪，受欺压的流泪，且无人安慰；欺压他们的有势力，也无人安慰他们。

我转而观看日光之下所发生的一切欺压之事。看哪，受欺压的流泪，无人安慰；欺压他们的有权势，也无人安慰。

我转而观看日光之下所发生的一切欺压之事。看哪，受欺压的流泪，无人安慰；欺压他们的有权势，也无人安慰。

于是，我又观察日光之下的一切欺压之事。我看见受欺压的泪流满面，无人安慰。因为欺压者有权有势，所以无人安慰他们。

我又看见日光之下所发生一切欺压的事：受欺压的流泪，却无人安慰他们；欺压他们的，手里握着权柄，因此无人安慰受欺压的。

我转眼又看到在日光之下所行的一切欺压。看哪，受欺压者流泪，无人安慰他们！权势在欺压他们的人手中，却无人安慰受欺压者！

我又轉念，見日光之下所行的一切欺壓。看哪，受欺壓的流淚，且無人安慰；欺壓他們的有勢力，也無人安慰他們。

我轉而觀看日光之下所發生的一切欺壓之事。看哪，受欺壓的流淚，無人安慰；欺壓他們的有權勢，也無人安慰。

我轉而觀看日光之下所發生的一切欺壓之事。看哪，受欺壓的流淚，無人安慰；欺壓他們的有權勢，也無人安慰。

於是，我又觀察日光之下的一切欺壓之事。我看見受欺壓的淚流滿面，無人安慰。因為欺壓者有權有勢，所以無人安慰他們。

我又看見日光之下所發生一切欺壓的事：受欺壓的流淚，卻無人安慰他們；欺壓他們的，手裡握著權柄，因此無人安慰受欺壓的。

我又看、日光之下所行的一切欺壓：看哪，受欺壓的流淚，無人安慰！欺壓他們的、手裏有勢力，也無人安慰！

我轉眼又看到在日光之下所行的一切欺壓。看哪，受欺壓者流淚，無人安慰他們！權勢在欺壓他們的人手中，卻無人安慰受欺壓者！

我轉觀日下所行之虐、見受虐者流涕、慰藉無人、行虐者有權、受虐者不得慰藉、

我復見日下多有冤屈、受屈者流淚、慰之者無人、虐之者勢大、慰之者無人、

Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun: I saw the tears of the oppressed— and they have no comforter; power was on the side of their oppressors— and they have no comforter.

I looked and saw how much people were suffering on this earth. I saw the tears of those who are suffering. They don’t have anyone to comfort them. Power is on the side of those who treat them badly. Those who are suffering don’t have anyone to comfort them.

Again I saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no one to comfort them! On the side of their oppressors there was power, and there was no one to comfort them.

Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless.

Again, I observed all the acts of oppression being done under the sun. Look at the tears of those who are oppressed; they have no one to comfort them. Power is with those who oppress them; they have no one to comfort them.

Then I looked again at all the acts of oppression which were being done under the sun. And behold, I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them; and power was on the side of their oppressors, but they had no one to comfort them.

Then I returned and considered all the oppression that is done under the sun: And look! The tears of the oppressed, But they have no comforter— On the side of their oppressors there is power, But they have no comforter.

Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and, behold, the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

Again, I observed all the acts of oppression being done under the sun. Look at the tears of those who are oppressed; they have no one to comfort them. Power is with those who oppress them; they have no one to comfort them.

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of[ such as were] oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors[ there was] power; but they had no comforter.

So I again considered all the oppression that continually occurs on earth. This is what I saw: The oppressed were in tears, but no one was comforting them; no one delivers them from the power of their oppressors.

Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold, the tears of those who were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

我遍覽天下、公庭聽訟、當秉公義、而反狥私、

萬有之主耶和華、視以色列族猶大之民、無異葡萄園、無異嘉種、使行仁從義、惟彼嗜殺人、行暴虐、小民號呼。

爾觀州邑強暴、虐貧枉法、則勿殷憂、人雖居高位、更有尊於彼者、鑒察其所為、其上又有至尊至高者。

穫爾田之傭、不給其值、則籲呼升聞於萬有之主、

彼終夕流涕、沾濡盈睫兮、良朋雖多、慰藉無人兮、我以彼為良朋、彼以我為仇敵兮。

其衣污衊、不念厥終、故遭非常之傾圮、而慰藉無人兮、彼曰、敵加困苦、望耶和華眷顧兮。

如是、應先知所載焉、諸門徒離之而奔、○

萬有之主耶和華曰、我必涖臨、降災於爾、凡巫覡行淫之子、妄誓之輩、奪傭人之值、虐遇孤寡、使賓旅不得伸其枉屈、而不敬畏我者、必速降以罰。

我已妄行、背逆我上帝耶和華、所謀不軌、言行俱謬。秉公義者、遠遁遙立、言真實者、仆於逵衢、不敢入邑。尚誠慤者不可得、改惡行者每遇害、援手無人、保護無人、耶和華見仁義衰頹、惄然憂之、彰厥仁義、顯厥大能、以拯斯民焉。

我左右而望、眷顧者無人、輔翼者無人、且無逋逃之藪兮、

不給僕以蒭、而使陶瓦、僕又被撻、咎歸王臣。曰、爾怠矣、爾怠矣、故云、容我往祭耶和華。爾往操作、不給爾蒭、所陶之瓦、其數當竣。以色列族長聞日所陶瓦、數毋容減、則知害及乎己。

曰、我之上帝、如我岡巒、何遺我兮、何為敵人虐我、使予殷憂兮、

喜戮無辜、疾趨行惡、其謀不軌、其行殘刻。

耶和華震怒、付之於非利士人及亞捫人手、彼暴虐挾制居基列、約但東亞摩哩人地之以色列族、歷十八年。

人恆詰我、上帝何在、予也忘食、盡日飲涕兮、

裸無衣而露宿、寒無衾以蔽體、登山遇雨、棲身巖穴。奪孤子於母懷、取寠人之衣以為質、使彼裸體從其後、枵腹負其禾、歸至室渴甚、又使之醡油製酒。俾困苦者嘆息、傷心者呼籲、惡人橫逆如此、上帝不加以罪。

維此貧民、受屈欷歔、耶和華曰、余必勃然而興、手援之兮、不使藐視於人斯。

匹夫匹婦號呼、怨其同宗猶大人、或曰、我已頻鬻子女、易穀養生。或曰、飢饉既甚、我已質田園宅第於人以糴穀。或曰、我之田園、已質於人、得金以納稅。我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

人凌侮我、俾我傷心、殷憂不已、欲與同憂患者、卒無一人、欲望來慰藉者、亦不可得、

非義之利、使智為狂、惟行賄賂、壞人心術。

浸假爾與我易地以處、則我亦能長言以責爾、搖首以欺爾。

惟爾敵人、素使爾曲躬俯伏、俟其踰越而行、若遨遊於通衢、我必使彼飲焉。

我之仇敵、終日欺予、猖狂發誓、如不殺余、與余同苦兮、余也食塵猶餅、飲涕若水兮、

法老命其民曰以色列族生男則溺於河、生女可全其命。

彼若獅兮、穴視而耽耽、執貧民兮、羅網之是張、攘奪之是行兮、遭糜爛、被陷害、弱制於強兮、

當斯時也、義與不義之人、爾得詳辨之、事上帝與不事上帝者、爾得區別之。

備有鐵車九百、虐遇以色列族、歷二十年、以色列族籲耶和華、

請申言之、勿以吾為不義、或曲或直、自有能辨之者。

嚴督其役、畀以重任、艱苦其身、陶瓦、擣土、力田、所服之役、無不以嚴。○

人而匱乏、兄弟疾之、友朋遠之、有求於人、而莫之應。

爾復娶於異邦已棄之妻、詣耶和華臺前、哭泣號呼、澘然下涕、故耶和華不垂顧爾、不納爾禮物、

王命曰、爾為希百來婦收生、見其臨產、若生男則殺之、女則存焉。

余澘然飲涕、飲食俱忘兮、

上帝譴我、望友矜憫。上帝既責我、爾又從而附和之、爾啖我肉、猶不以為饜足乎。

人受困苦則嘆息、遭橫逆則呼號。

暴君虐貧民、若咆哮之獅、饑餓之熊。無智之君、多行暴虐、能絶嗜欲、可得永生。

以貧虐貧、若行潦忽決、盡淹所有。

我始訴己事時、無人佑我、眾又遺我、願主勿坐其罪、惟主左右我、剛健我、使我足傳道、俾異邦人聞之、我得救出於獅口、

爾之土產、爾之操作、將為爾素所未識之民並吞殆盡、爾將為人虐取、為人挾制、歷久如是。

歷年既久、埃及王薨、以色列族因服役良苦、太息號呼、聲聞於上帝。上帝聞之、追念素與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立之約、

故耶和華必遣敵攻爾、使爾饑渴、裸體匱乏、服役於敵、彼於鐵軛置於爾頸、迨爾滅亡。
