I also observed under the sun: there is wickedness at the place of judgment and there is wickedness at the place of righteousness.

我又见日光之下，在审判之处有奸恶，在公义之处也有奸恶。

我又看日光之下甚麼地方在執行着公道，甚麼地方就有奸惡，甚麼地方有公義，甚麼地方也有奸惡。

我還看到在日光之下，在審判的地方有奸惡，在公義的地方也有奸惡。

我觀日下、公庭有不公、義所有不義、

我遍覽天下、公庭聽訟、當秉公義、而反狥私、

我又見日下審判之所、竟有偏私、當行公義之處、反有不義、

And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment— wickedness was there, in the place of justice— wickedness was there.

Here’s something else I saw on earth. Where people should be treated right, they are treated wrong. Where people should be treated fairly, they are treated unfairly.

Moreover, I saw under the sun that in the place of justice, even there was wickedness, and in the place of righteousness, even there was wickedness.

I also noticed that under the sun there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt!

Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness.

Moreover I saw under the sun: In the place of judgment, Wickedness was there; And in the place of righteousness, Iniquity was there.

And moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

I also observed under the sun: there is wickedness at the place of judgment and there is wickedness at the place of righteousness.

And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment,[ that] wickedness[ was] there; and the place of righteousness,[ that] iniquity[ was] there.

I saw something else on earth: In the place of justice, there was wickedness, and in the place of fairness, there was wickedness.

Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

Again, I observed all the acts of oppression being done under the sun. Look at the tears of those who are oppressed; they have no one to comfort them. Power is with those who oppress them; they have no one to comfort them.

If you see oppression of the poor and perversion of justice and righteousness in the province, don’t be astonished at the situation, because one official protects another official, and higher officials protect them.

Yet you have dishonored the poor. Don’t the rich oppress you and drag you into court?

They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.But the LORD is my refuge; my God is the rock of my protection.

They covet fields and seize them; they also take houses. They deprive a man of his home, a person of his inheritance.

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death,

“ How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? SelahProvide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the power of the wicked.”They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far off. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter.

Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones? Do you judge people fairly?No, you practice injustice in your hearts; with your hands you weigh out violence in the land.

The princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are wolves of the night, which leave nothing for the morning.

In the letters, she wrote: Proclaim a fast and seat Naboth at the head of the people.Then seat two wicked men opposite him and have them testify against him, saying,“ You have cursed God and the king!” Then take him out and stone him to death.The men of his city, the elders and nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them, just as it was written in the letters she had sent them.They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth at the head of the people.The two wicked men came in and sat opposite him. Then the wicked men testified against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has cursed God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.Then they sent word to Jezebel:“ Naboth has been stoned to death.”When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab,“ Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite who refused to give it to you for silver, since Naboth isn’t alive, but dead.”When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite to take possession of it.Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite:“ Get up and go to meet King Ahab of Israel, who is in Samaria. He’s in Naboth’s vineyard, where he has gone to take possession of it.Tell him,‘ This is what the LORD says: Have you murdered and also taken possession?’ Then tell him,‘ This is what the LORD says: In the place where the dogs licked up Naboth’s blood, the dogs will also lick up your blood!’”Ahab said to Elijah,“ So, my enemy, you’ve found me, have you?” He replied,“ I have found you because you devoted yourself to do what is evil in the LORD’s sight.This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you and will eradicate your descendants: I will wipe out all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel;

Both hands are good at accomplishing evil: the official and the judge demand a bribe; when the powerful man communicates his evil desire, they plot it together.

Then Paul said to him,“ God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! You are sitting there judging me according to the law, and yet in violation of the law are you ordering me to be struck?”
