天主所悅者、賜以智慧、知識、歡樂、獲罪於天主者、天主則畀以收斂積蓄之任、終歸於天主所悅者用、此亦屬於虛、亦如捕風、

神喜悦谁，就给谁智慧、知识，和喜乐；惟有罪人，神使他劳苦，叫他将所收聚的、所堆积的归给神所喜悦的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

彼所悅者、錫以智慧、知識歡樂、惟以憂勞加於罪人、使其所收所積、歸於上帝所悅者、斯亦虛空、乃為捕風、

上帝所悅者、賜以智慧歡樂、若惡人則勞苦之、以其所積貨財、賜於善良、凡百之事、無非捕風捉影、以此益見矣。

To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness to the person who pleases him. But to a sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth. Then the sinner must hand it over to the one who pleases God. That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind.

For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless— like chasing the wind.

For to the person who is pleasing in his sight, he gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and accumulating in order to give to the one who is pleasing in God’s sight. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.

For to a person who is good in His sight, He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God’s sight. This too is futility and striving after wind.

善人遺業子孫、惡人貲財、存為善人所用、

雖積銀如塵沙、備衣如邱垤、所備者為義人所衣、其銀必為無辜者所分、

至今爾尚未託我名而求、求則必得、致爾之樂充足矣、

爾宜語義者、必蒙福、必享己行之果報、禍哉惡人、必遭災害、必循其手所作而受報、

貸金取利、增益其財者、所積之財、必為濟貧者所得、

希西家在猶大全地、如是以行、在主其天主前為善、正直真誠、凡其所行、或理人供役事於天主之殿、或遵律法、守誡命、以尋求其天主、皆一心行之、無不亨通、

得智慧、得明哲者、此人則為有福、積智慧勝於積銀、智慧利大、勝於精金、貴於珍珠、爾一切財寶、不足與之比、右手操持長壽、左手操持富貴、其道安樂、其徑平康、持守智慧者、如得生命之樹、執持智慧者、悉有福、

爾曹由天主得與基督耶穌連屬、天主使彼為我智慧、使我因彼稱義、成聖、得贖、如經云、誇者當以主而誇、

二人在天主前、義者也、遵主一切誡命禮儀而行、無可指摘、

主諭挪亞云、我於斯世、惟見爾為義於我前、爾偕眷屬、可登方舟、

當以基督有原文抄本作主之道、充於爾心、智慧具備、相教相勸、以歌章、頌詞、神賦、中心感恩而頌主、凡爾所為、無論所言所行、皆當為主耶穌之名而為之、且賴主耶穌謝父天主、○

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、使爾所行盡合於主、凡事悅主之意而結果、行諸善事、於天主之知識、日有長進、又循其榮之權能、使爾凡事有大力、能恆忍寛容而喜樂、且謝父、使我儕堪於聖徒有分、共得業於光明中、

蓋天主國不在飲食、乃在義與和與聖神所賜之樂也、以此而事基督者、為天主所悅、為世人所善、

聖神所結之果、即仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、慈悲、良善、忠信、溫柔、節制、如此者、無律法禁止、

惟由上之智慧、先廉潔、後和平、溫良、柔順、充滿矜恤、多結善果、不偏視、不偽善、

今我知人有智慧、乃因感於神、人之明哲、出乎全能主之靈氣、

我觀日下所作之事、皆屬於虛、皆如捕風、
