All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.

“婦人所生的日子短少，滿有攪擾；

雅各回答法老：“我寄居在世的年日是一百三十歲。我一生的年日又少又苦，不及我祖先寄居在世的年日。”

我因悲歎而疲憊，我夜夜流淚，把床漂起，把床榻浸透。我因愁煩眼目昏花，因眾多的仇敵視力衰退。

勞力的人無論吃多吃少，都睡得甜；財主的豐足，卻不容他安睡。

因為多有智慧，就多有煩惱；加增知識，就加增痛苦。
