知智愈乎愚、光愈乎暗。

我雖見智慧勝於愚昧、如光明勝於幽暗、

I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness.

I saw that wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly, as there is more gain in light than in darkness.

I thought,“ Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom surpasses foolishness as light surpasses darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.

Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.

And I realized that there is an advantage to wisdom over folly, like the advantage of light over darkness.

I realized that wisdom is preferable to folly, just as light is preferable to darkness:

Wisdom is as good as an inheritance. Yes, it is more excellent for those who see the sun.For wisdom is a defense, even as money is a defense; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.

But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness.Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness.

Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.

Then I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.“ For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.

How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.

The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

Truly the light is sweet, and it is a pleasant thing for the eyes to see the sun.

Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.Don’t forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you.Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.

Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city.

But the path of the righteous is like the dawning light that shines more and more until the perfect day.The way of the wicked is like darkness. They don’t know what they stumble over.
