No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them.

No one remembers the people of long ago. Even those who haven’t been born yet won’t be remembered by those who will be born after them.

There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after.

看哪！先前预言过的事已经成就了，现在我说明新的事；它们还没有发生以前，我就先说给你们听了。”

仇敌的结局到了，他们遭毁灭，直到永远；你拆毁他们的城镇，使它们湮没无闻。

让它们前来告诉我们将要发生的事。以前的是什么事，让它们告诉我们，好叫我们用心思想，得知事情的结局。或者向我们宣告那要来的事。把以后要来的事告诉我们，好叫我们知道你们是神；你们作这些事，或降福或降祸，以致我们彼此对望，一齐观看。看哪！你们属于无有，你们的作为都属于虚空，那选择你们的是可厌恶的。我从北方兴起一人，他就来了；他从日出之地而来，呼求我的名；他必来践踏掌权的，好像践踏灰泥，又像陶匠踹泥一样。谁从起初讲说这事，使我们知道呢？谁从先前说明，以致我们说“他没有错”呢？谁也没有说明，谁也没有宣告，谁也没有听见你们的话！
