Let me alone, so that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven. And I will make you into a nation stronger and more numerous than they.”

Do not try to stop me. I am going to destroy them. I will wipe them out from the earth. Then I will make you into a great nation. Your people will be stronger than they were. There will be more of you than there were of them.”

但是永恆主必不情願赦免這種人，永恆主的怒氣和妒憤反而要向這種人冒煙，而這書上所寫的這一切咒詛就都要伏在那人身上；永恆主又要將他的名從天下塗抹掉。

你叱責了列國，使惡人滅亡；你塗抹了他們的名到永永遠遠。

你且由着我；讓我發烈怒，將他們滅盡；你呢、我要使你成為大國。』摩西便求永恆主他的上帝的情面，說：『永恆主啊，你為甚麼向你的人民發怒呢？這人民是你用大能用大力的手從埃及地領出來的呀！為甚麼讓埃及人議論說：「他領他們出去是要降災禍的，要在山中把他們殺死，將他們從地上滅盡」呢？求你回心轉意，不發烈怒；求你改變心意、不對你人民降災禍。求你懷念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列；你曾指着自己向他們起誓，說：「我必使你們的後裔增多、像天上的星；我必將我所說到的這全地給你們的後裔；他們必永遠承受為產業。」』

願他的後人被剪滅；願他的名字第二代就被塗抹。

義人之遺跡蒙祝福；惡人的名字被咒詛。

永恆主對我說：『就使有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前來代求，我的心也不向着這人民。從我面前給打發走，叫他們出去！

而那人卻從裏面回答說：「別攪擾我了；門已經關了；我孩子們也同我在床上了；我不能起來給你」呢？我告訴你們，他縱然不因他是朋友而起來給他，也要因了他那不顧一切的懇求而起來，把他所需用的給他呀。『所以我告訴你們，求，就給你們；尋找，就找着；敲門，就給你們開；因為凡求的、得着；尋找的，找着；敲門的、就給他開。

得勝的必這樣披着白衣；我決不從生命冊上擦掉他的名；我必在我父面前、和我父的眾使者面前、承認他的名。

『頸項剛硬、心與耳沒受割禮的人哪，你們永遠抗拒聖靈；你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。

如今，你若赦免他們的罪，就好啦；倘若不然，就求你從你所記的冊上把我塗抹掉吧。』永恆主對摩西說：『誰犯罪得罪了我，我就從我的冊上塗抹誰。

永恆主對我說：『你不要為這人民祈求福利。

耶路撒冷啊，我在你的城牆上立了看守人；他們終日終夜不斷地不緘默；提醒永恆主的啊，你們不要靜息哦！也不要讓他靜息，直等到他建立了錫安，直等到他使耶路撒冷在地上成為可頌可讚的。

永恆主對摩西說：『這人民藐視我、要到幾時呢？雖有我在他們中間所行的一切神迹、他們還不信我、要到幾時呢？我要用瘟疫擊殺他們，趕滅他們；我要使你成為大國、比他們強盛。』

耶穌對他們講一個比喻，論到人應當堅持禱告，不可喪志。他說：『某城裏有一個審判官不敬畏上帝，也不尊敬人。那城裏有個寡婦，常去見他說，「從告我的對頭身上給我伸冤吧。」他多時不肯；後來心裏說，「我雖不敬畏上帝，也不尊敬人，只因這寡婦直攪擾我，我就要給她伸冤，免得她終日不斷地來纏磨我。」』主說：『你們聽這不義的審判官所說的。上帝揀選的人晝夜向他喊救，他縱然在他們的事上延持着，難道總不給他們伸冤麼？我告訴你們，他總要快快地給他們伸冤的。然而人子來的時候，難道得見信心在地上麼？』
