Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son,[ so] the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

你心里要知道，耶和华—你的上帝管教你，像人管教儿女一样。

你们心里要明白，你们的上帝耶和华管教你们，如同父亲管教儿子。

Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.

Here is what I want you to know in your hearts. The Lord your God guides you, just as parents guide their children.

Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you.

Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.

Keep in mind that the LORD your God has been disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.

So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.

You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.

And thou shalt consider in thy heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God chasteneth thee.

Keep in mind that the Lord your God has been disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.

Be keenly aware that just as a parent disciplines his child, the LORD your God disciplines you.

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son[ in whom] he delighteth.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Behold, happy[ is] the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected[ us], and we gave[ them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?For they verily for a few days chastened[ us] after their own pleasure; but he for[ our] profit, that[ we] might be partakers of his holiness.Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Blessed[ is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they[ be] a rebellious house.

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,[ or] the likeness of any[ thing], which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib:[ but] Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
