當追憶主爾之天主導爾出伊及時、所試之大能、所行之異跡奇事、所用之大力大威、爾目所睹者、主爾之天主亦必如是待爾所懼之諸國、

You saw with your own eyes the great trials, the signs and wonders, the mighty hand and outstretched arm, with which the Lord your God brought you out. The Lord your God will do the same to all the peoples you now fear.

With your own eyes you saw what the Lord did to them. You saw the signs and amazing things he did. He reached out his mighty hand and powerful arm. The Lord your God used all those things to bring you out. You are now afraid of the nations that are in the land the Lord promised you. But the Lord your God will do to them the same things he did to Egypt.

Remember the great terrors the Lord your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear.

有哪一位神曾試圖用試驗、用神迹、奇事、用戰爭、用大力的手、和伸出的膀臂、及大而驚人的事，去從別的國中將一國的人民領出來、歸於自己，像永恆主你們的上帝在埃及當你們眼前為你們所行的一切事呢？

當那日子我向他們舉手起誓要領他們出埃及地，到我為他們探覓的、那流奶與蜜之地，就是在列邦中最華美的。我對他們說：你們要拋棄、各人棄掉他眼中所喜愛可憎之像，不可因埃及的偶像來玷污你們自己：我乃是永恆主你們的上帝。然而他們卻叛逆了我，不肯聽我，各不拋棄他們眼中所喜愛可憎之像，不離棄埃及的偶像。『我本心裏說我要將我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，我要在埃及地之中向他們發盡我的忿怒。然而我卻為我名的緣故而行事，免得我的名在他們所同住的列國人眼前被褻瀆，我就是在這些列國人眼前領我人民出埃及地、使他們認識我的。

你們今日要曉得——我本不是跟你們的兒女說話的；因為他們不知道、也沒有見過永恆主你們的上帝的管教、和他的至大、他大力的手、他伸出的膀臂、他的神迹和作為、他在埃及中向埃及王法老和法老的全國所行過的；他們沒有見過永恆主對埃及的軍隊和馬匹跟車輛所行過的；他們追趕你們的時候、永恆主怎樣使蘆葦海的水淹過他們的臉面、使他們滅亡，到今日還未能復興；

你在埃及地顯神迹奇事，直到今日、又在以色列中、又在普通人中間、也都施行異能，為你自己立了名，正如今日一樣。你用神迹奇事、用大力的手和伸出的膀臂、及大可怕的事、將你的人民以色列從埃及地領出來；

你就施行神迹奇事責罰法老和他所有的臣僕以及他國內的眾民，因為你知道他們怎樣以狂妄傲慢待我們的列祖；你就為自己立了名聲、正如今日一樣。你又在我們的列祖面前使海裂開，讓他們在海中乾地上走過去，將追趕他們的人丟在深海，如同石頭丟在浩蕩之水中。

約書亞說：『看哪，全地之主的約櫃要在你們前面在約但河裏過去：在這一點上你們就知道永活的上帝在你們中間，他必定把迦南人、赫人、希未人、比利洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、耶布斯人從你們面前趕出。
