你們的兒女對你們說：『這禮儀是甚麼意思呢？』你們就說：『這是獻給耶和華逾越節的祭物。當耶和華擊殺埃及人的時候，他逾越了以色列人在埃及的房屋，救了我們各家。』」於是百姓低頭敬拜。

我揀選他，為要叫他命令他的子孫和後代家屬遵行耶和華的道，秉公行義，使耶和華所應許亞伯拉罕的話都實現了。」

「但你要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得在你一生的年日這些事離開你的心，總要把它們傳給你的子子孫孫。你在何烈山站在耶和華－你神面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我召集百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們活在世上的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教導他們的兒女。』

一句壞話也不可出口，只要隨着需要說造就人的好話，讓聽見的人得益處。

我們不要向子孫隱瞞這些事，而要將耶和華的美德和他的能力，並他所行的奇事，述說給後代聽。他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中設律法；他吩咐我們的祖宗要傳給子孫，使將要生的後代子孫可以曉得。他們也要起來告訴他們的子孫，

日後，你的兒子問你說：『這是甚麼意思？』你就說：『耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及為奴之家領出來。那時法老固執，不肯放我們走，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都殺了。因此，我把一切頭生的公的牲畜獻給耶和華為祭，卻將所有頭生的兒子贖出來。

善人從他心裏所存的善發出善來，惡人從他所存的惡發出惡來；因為心裏所充滿的，口裏就說出來。」

只要心裏奉主基督為聖，尊他為主。有人問你們心中盼望的理由，要隨時準備答覆；

義人的嘴唇牧養多人；愚妄人因無知而死亡。

善人從他所存的善發出善來；惡人從他所存的惡發出惡來。

我要在列王面前宣講你的法度，也不致羞愧。

你行走，她必引導你，你躺臥，她必保護你，你睡醒，她必與你談論。

我在大會中傳講公義的佳音，看哪，必不制止我的嘴唇；耶和華啊，這一切你都知道。我未曾把你的公義藏在心裏，我已陳明你的信實和你的救恩；在大會中我未曾隱瞞你的慈愛和信實。

智慧人的嘴傳揚知識；愚昧人的心並非如此。

那時，敬畏耶和華的人彼此談論，耶和華側耳而聽，且有紀念冊在他面前，記錄那敬畏耶和華、思念他名的人。

智慧人的舌善發知識；愚昧人的口吐出愚昧。

你們的言談要時常帶着溫和，好像用鹽調味，讓你們知道該怎樣應對每一個人。

過路的也不說：「願耶和華所賜的福歸與你們！我們奉耶和華的名給你們祝福！」

在城門坐着的所有百姓和長老說：「我們都是證人。願耶和華使進你家的這女子，像建立以色列家的拉結和利亞二人一樣。又願你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恆有名聲。

義人的口發出智慧，他的舌頭講說公平。

看哪，波阿斯正從伯利恆來，對收割的人說：「願耶和華與你們同在！」他們對他說：「願耶和華賜福給你！」

願耶和華照你所行的報償你。你來投靠在耶和華－以色列神的翅膀下，願你滿得他的報償。」
