我們不會向子孫隱瞞，而要向後代講述對耶和華的讚美，講述他的大能和他所行的奇妙作為。他在雅各中立下法度，在以色列中設立律法，這律法是他吩咐我們的祖先教導子孫的，好讓將要出生的後代子孫可以明白，並且起來向他們的子孫講述；

好人從他心裡所存的善，發出善來；壞人從他心裡所存的惡，發出惡來；因為人心裡所充滿的，口裡就說出來。

只要你們心裡尊主基督為聖，無論誰要你們對你們裡面的盼望做個交代，你們都要隨時預備好答覆他；

義人的嘴唇能牧養許多人，愚妄人卻因缺乏心智而死亡。

好人從他心裡所存的善，發出善來；壞人從他心裡所存的惡，發出惡來。

我也要在君王們面前說出你的法度，並不致蒙羞。

你往來行走時，她就引導你；你躺下時，她就保守你；你醒來時，她就與你談論；

我在廣大的會眾裡傳揚公義的佳音；看哪，我不會禁止我的嘴唇！耶和華啊，你是知道的。我沒有把你的公義掩藏在心裡，我述說了你的信實和拯救，我沒有向廣大的會眾隱瞞你的慈愛和信實。

智慧人的嘴，散播知識；愚昧人的心，卻不這樣。

那時，敬畏耶和華的人彼此談論，耶和華留心垂聽。那些敬畏耶和華、尊重他名的人，在他面前都被記錄在一本記念冊上。

智慧人的舌頭，使知識美妙；愚昧人的口，吐出愚妄。

你們的話語總要帶著恩惠，像用鹽調和過的，好使你們知道該怎樣回答每一個人。

連過路的也不會說：「願耶和華的祝福臨到你們；我們奉耶和華的名祝福你們。」

在城門口的全體民眾和長老們都說：「我們都是見證人！願耶和華使進到你家的這女子像建立以色列家的拉結和莉亞兩人那樣！願你在以法他做大能的事，在伯利恆得名聲！

義人的口，述說智慧；他的舌頭，講說公正。

看哪，波阿斯從伯利恆來了，他對收割的人說：「願耶和華與你們同在！」他們對他說：「願耶和華祝福你！」

願耶和華回報你的作為！願你的酬報充充足足來自耶和華——你來投靠其翅膀底下的以色列的神！」
