Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors,

Do what is right and good in the Lord’ s eyes. Then things will go well with you. You will go in and take over the land. It’s the good land the Lord promised to your people of long ago.

And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may go well with you, and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers

你不可喫血，好使你和你以後的子孫都因你行永恆主所看為對的事、而平安順遂。

惟願他們常存着這樣的心，日日不斷地敬畏我，守我一切的誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永遠平安順遂。

再者，我雖對惡人說：「你必定死」，然而他若轉離他的罪，行公平正義的事；

惡人若回轉離開他的惡，行公平正義的事，他就必因此而得活着。

『你們還說：「兒子為甚麼不擔當父親的罪罰呢？」兒子行公平正義的事，謹守我的一切律例而實行它，他一定活着。

『你要謹慎，恐怕你忘記了永恆主你的上帝，不遵守他的誡命、典章、律例、就是我今日所吩咐你的；

『但是惡人若回轉離開他所犯的一切罪，謹守我一切的律例，行公平正義的事，他必定活着，不至於早死。

他所犯的一切罪必不給他記住；他行了公平正義的事，他必定活着。

那差我的與我同在；他沒有撇下我獨自一人，因為我始終都作他所喜歡的事。』

說：『你若留心聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，行他眼中看為對的事，側耳聽他的誡命，守他一切的律例，那麼我加在埃及人身上的一切疾病、我就不加在你身上，因為我永恆主乃是醫治你的。』

你們要在永恆主你們的上帝所吩咐你們走的道路上行，使你們得以活着，平安順遂，並使你們在所要取得為業的地上、延年益壽。

義人有福啊！他們有好處，因為他們必喫他們行為的果子。

並且你僕人還能由於這些而受警戒；守着這些便有大賞報。

別和今世同形狀了，乃要以心思之更新而變了形質，使你們能察驗甚麼是上帝的旨意，甚麼是那美善的、可喜歡的、純全的事。

『人若是公義，行公平正義的事，

如果你聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，遵守他一切的誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的，行永恆主你的上帝所看為對的事，就能如此。

你要謹守、聽從我所吩咐你的這一切話，好使你和你以後的子孫都因你行永恆主你的上帝所看為好為對的事、而代代平安順遂。

誰是智慧人，讓他明白這些事吧！誰是明達人，讓他領會吧！因為永恆主的道路是正直的，義人行走於其中，違犯者卻跌倒於其上。

再者，惡人若回轉離開他所行的惡，而行公平正義的事，他就會將性命救活。
