因為永恆主你的上帝在你中間是忌邪的上帝；恐怕永恆主你的上帝向你發怒，就把你從這地上消滅掉。

for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land.

The Lord your God is among you. He wants you to worship only him. If you worship other gods, God will be very angry with you. And he will destroy you from the face of the land.

for the Lord your God in your midst is a jealous God— lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

for the Lord your God, who lives among you, is a jealous God. His anger will flare up against you, and he will wipe you from the face of the earth.

因為永恆主你的上帝乃是燒滅人的烈火，是忌邪的上帝。

不可敬拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子、到三四代。

因為他會使你的兒子偏離、而不跟從我，反而去事奉別的神，以致永恆主向你們發怒，而迅速消滅你們。

以致永恆主向你們發怒，就把天抑制着，使天沒有雨水，田地生不出土產，你們就會從永恆主所賜給你們的美地上迅速地滅亡。

由於這事、耶羅波安的家就有了罪，以致永恆主要從地上抹除它、消滅它。

為甚麼讓埃及人議論說：「他領他們出去是要降災禍的，要在山中把他們殺死，將他們從地上滅盡」呢？求你回心轉意，不發烈怒；求你改變心意、不對你人民降災禍。

看哪，主永恆主的眼瞪着這犯罪的國；我必從地上剿滅它；不過我不將雅各家剿滅淨盡罷了』：永恆主發神諭說。

他們卻直戲笑上帝的使者，藐視上帝的話，直譏誚他的神言人，以致永恆主向他人民發烈怒、到無法救治。

誰曉得你怒氣之權勢，誰看明你震怒之威力呢？

『在地上萬家族中只有你們是我的知交；因此我必察罰你們，罰你們一切的罪孽。

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我永恆主你的上帝是忌邪的上帝；恨我的、我必察罰他們的罪愆、從父親到兒子，到三四代。

當那一天永恆主發了怒，就起誓說：「凡由埃及上來、從二十歲和以上的人、斷不得以看見我對亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許的土地，因為他們沒有滿心滿懷地跟從我。惟獨基尼洗人耶孚尼的兒子迦勒、和嫩的兒子約書亞可以看見，因為他們滿心滿懷地跟從永恆主。」永恆主向以色列人發怒，就使他們在曠野流離四十年，等到在永恆主眼前行壞事的那一代人都滅盡了。如今你看，你們倒起來接替你們的先祖，成了罪人的族類，使永恆主向以色列更加發烈怒！你們若轉離、不跟從他，他還要把以色列人撇在曠野，那你們就把這人民都毁滅了。』

因為我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的烈怒而惶恐到死。

因為再過七天，我要下雨在地上，四十晝又四十夜，將我所造的眾生都從地上擦滅。』

或是說我們在激動主的妒愛啊？難道我們比他還強壯麼？
