( At that time I stood between the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:

At that time I stood between the Lord and you. I announced to you the Lord’ s message. I did it because you were afraid of the fire. You didn’t go up the mountain. The Lord said,

while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord. For you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. He said:

I stood as an intermediary between you and the Lord, for you were afraid of the fire and did not want to approach the mountain. He spoke to me, and I passed his words on to you. This is what he said:

At that time I was standing between the LORD and you to report the word of the LORD to you, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain. And he said:

( I was standing between the LORD and you at that time to reveal to you the message of the LORD, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain.) He said:

( I stood between Yahweh and you at that time, to show you Yahweh’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,

那麼、律法怎麼樣呢？律法是為顯明犯法之事而增設的；是臨時的措施、等所應許的後裔來到的；是藉着天使經中間人之手規定的。

到了第三天、早晨的時候，在山上有雷轟、閃電和濃雲；號角聲強大的很，營裏人民盡都顫抖。

眾民見了雷轟、閃電、角聲和山上冒着煙；就懼怕，直發顫，遠遠地站着。對摩西說：『你對我們說話吧，我們就要聽；可別讓上帝和我們說話呀，恐怕我們死亡。』摩西對人民說：『不要懼怕，因為上帝來臨，是要試驗你們，叫你們時常敬畏他，不至於犯罪。』於是人民遠遠地站着；摩西就挨近暗霧那裏，暗霧就是上帝之所在。

因為你們上了的並不是一個可摸觸的山：那裏有燒𤏲的火、與昏黑幽冥和旋風、號筒的響聲、和說話之聲音的；當時聽見的都請求不要把話語加傳給他們；因為他們當不起所訓諭的話說：『就使走獸觸着了這山，也必被扔石頭打死的』。並且所顯現的是這麼可怕，以致摩西說：我非常畏懼而戰兢』。不，你們上了的乃是錫安山、永活上帝的城、天上的耶路撒冷，那裏有千千萬萬的天使、有名錄在天上諸首生者的歡樂盛會或總聚會、有審判主、萬人的上帝、有已得完全的義人之靈、並有新約的中保耶穌、以及灑撒之血、比亞伯說得更好的。

惟獨摩西可以挨近永恆主，其他的人都不可挨近；人民也不可和他一同上來。』摩西來到，將永恆主的一切話、一切典章、都向人民敘說；眾民都齊聲答應說：『永恆主所說的話、我們都要遵行。』

因為基督並不是進了人手造的聖所、真聖所的模型、乃是進了上天本境，如今替我們顯在上帝面前的。

他們的貴顯者必是他們自己中間的人；掌管他們的必出於他們中間；我必使他走近前來，他就親近我；因為誰有膽量敢來親近我呢？永恆主發神諭說。

如今只求你，你走近前去，聽永恆主我們的上帝所要說的一切話，然後你、將永恆主我們的上帝所對你說的一切話、對我們說，我們就聽從、就遵行。」

天使又指給我看大祭司約書亞站在永恆主的使者面前，撒但也站在約書亞右邊來控告他。永恆主對撒但說：『撒但哪，永恆主叱責你！那揀選了耶路撒冷的永恆主叱責你！這不是從火中搶救出來的一根柴麼？』當時約書亞穿着污穢的衣服站在使者面前。使者應聲吩咐那些待立在他面前的說：『你們要脫去他污穢的衣服。』又對約書亞說：『看哪，我使你的罪孽離開了你，要給你穿上華麗的吉服。』又說：『要將潔淨的華冠戴在他頭上。』他們就把潔淨的華冠戴在他頭上，又給他穿上華麗的吉服；那時永恆主的使者正在旁邊站着。

故此他說要消滅他們；若非有他所揀選的摩西當決裂之時站在他面前，使他的烈怒轉消，避免施行殺滅，他們早已滅亡了。

那二位轉身、離開那裏，向所多瑪走去；只有亞伯拉罕在永恆主面前、仍然站着。

他站在死人與活人之間，疫症就被制住了。
